It’s finally time to unveil what we’ve been working on behind the scenes for so long. The NORDLICHT crew is boarding their lightbeam ships and setting off into the unknown, heading toward a brand-new home base!

“Why?” you ask. After a decade of unforgettable memories, lush green grass, a breathable atmosphere, friendly vibes, and a bounty of resources, Lighthouse Outpost—our little slice of paradise—has sadly come to an end. When the longtime maintainer stepped down, control reverted to the original owner and their tenant. Despite our best efforts, a new agreement couldn’t be reached.

But out of the shadows of Lighthouse Outpost’s twilight, a new star rises on the horizon. Our crew has scouted a vibrant new location lightyears away, and it’s ready to welcome us:

This fresh venue is massive and packed with potential: activity zones, cozy rest areas, and much more. However, with greatness comes cost—room rental is pricey, so we’ve made a few strategic adjustments for our debut visit. The party is now three days long, focused on the heart of the action: the main hall and its exciting extras, including:

A spacious party hall with a chill outdoor BBQ spot, tucked next to a sunny green hill
A cozy, stylish indoor café area perfect for relaxing
Infodesk and in-house bar area where we sell a variety of chilled drinks at fair prices
An equipped kitchen, think "NOVA" vibes, that might be used for heating up food, upon request
Two hot-water showers (!)
A spacious party hall with a chill outdoor BBQ spot, tucked next to a sunny green hill

Check the website’s location page for a sneak peek of our new digs! There’s plenty of parking—even your caravan should fit. Just one caveat: camping on the green hill isn’t allowed, so please leave tents at home. We’re actively working on setting up indoor sleeping zones away from the main hall.

Over on the registration page, you’ll find a live funding bar to show how close we are to making this base party reality. Once we reach our initial goal (around 60 attendees, not including crew), any extra support can unlock bonus features—maybe even more rooms… or a whole discotheque!

We’re also introducing a subsidized ticket option for anyone with limited financial means, acknowledging the increased 2025 ticket price. Details on how to apply are on the tickets page.

For veteran Atari sceners from the North, get ready for a nostalgia rush—our new BGO home base is none other than the legendary venue that hosted the iconic Fried Bits demoscene events in '93, '94, and '95, as well as the Siliconvention in '97. With this year’s Nordlicht, the circle is complete—history echoes once more!
