Take note, any budding compo organizers: This is how you get things to be really good in the end. Improve little by little every year. Own your mistakes. Spend time between parties to improve your in-party processes.
(It sounds blindingly obvious, but I've seen so many people who say “oh well, we had a good time” and repeat the same mistakes over and over again. Or every other year, since it's easy to remember what happened last year but not the year before that.)
Hey guys, am I the only one who seems to have caught COVID at Revision? I have a strange cold which feels very much like when I actually had COVID: several days of increasing throat pain, severe coughing for 2-3 days, but little or no snot. I still have a fever and chills.
We heard of several visitors that caught Covid and of others with regular Colds.
I personally have, as every year after revision (even before Covid), the feel of fur on my bronchis, mild headache, feel a bit exhausted and cough a little.
Everyone who feels sick, should take a test.
Like after every other festival as well.

No Covid here, but general post-party-typhoid as per usual idd. (Did tests)
my tests (today and yesterday) have been negative, but i am definitely having *something* that feels like more than a simple cold.
I was thinking of if I have covid. as I am as tired as I was last time. but thats it. just tired.
throat is not fun aswell. so yeah weird..

I also caught one of these "way more than simple cold" but "far less annoying than real Covid" (or a proper flu for that matter) thingies. I guess the viruses have been mutating a bit... Tests were negative. No fever.
Mine is definitely COVID, I can tell without a test. Right now, a week after the throat stuff began, I still have a high fever, but my nose is clear. My throat has also healed, it seems, so I hope it will go away soon.
Here's a tip which I ignored, unfortunately: a shitton of B12 vitamin may prevent COVID infections. I mean, literally a shitton: buy a whole box, and take them all in two batches within a day. I never tried ivermectin, but many of my friends in Canada took it, and had no problems (no COVID either).

Had a sore throat and was tired after Revision. Will try that ivermectin thingy. Never had Covid, just one negative test.
feeling great. might be a result of eating garlic fermented in honey almost daily.
anyway, revision was great! meeting new and old faces, nice chats and good beers in the parking lot. now i should watch some of the releases sober tho :D

I thought we were past the unscientific bogus medical claims about covid 🙄

You may want to be careful about giving medical advice of this kind to strangers on the internet.
Suggesting to take vitamins isn't "medical advice" and there is no super complicated science behind it that needs a lifetime to understand.
OK: You may want to be careful about giving totally-not-medical advice to take giant off-label doses of vitamins as a means to prevent disease, to strangers on the internet.
Just rinse mouth and nose with liquor (40+%VOL) regularly and on suspicion. That'll teach the bug.
Half a box at a time right? I'll get on it.
See you on the other side

Agreed. I took three tests on Wednesday and Thursday morning, then again today. Negative all three. Not even a faint line. Got lucky. We heard of several visitors that caught Covid and of others with regular Colds.

Even so, had I gotten it (best wishes to those who did) the "advice" in this thread is just bullshit.

Con crud. 🙁I also caught one of these "way more than simple cold" but "far less annoying than real Covid" (or a proper flu for that matter) thingies. I guess the viruses have been mutating a bit... Tests were negative. No fever.
I definitely got negative on COVID over multiple tests. Very early Tuesday morning was a bit unpleasant but it seemed to be a repeat of something that happened once after Revision pre-pandemic, so maybe I had something Monday that my body decided was one thing too many. 😅

Anyway, best wishes to everyone and please don't eat a boxcar full of vitamin B12. At best you'll just get fluorescent piss and want to put on some matching rave music in your bathroom.
Sorry, three total tests, not three each day mentioned. That'd be kinda excessive, and with the price of home tests in the US prohibitively expensive. 😢
If you love your kidneys and think about them selling one day:
Dont listen to Tomcats advise.
(never do anyway) ^^

Great party once again! Sorry to not see my favorite FEINGOLD offered in the infodesk this year, but I survived on normal buttplugpils
I Also had some serious sore throat going on and tired as a MF after the party, but probably just age, exhaustion and overall mistreatment of the body for 4 days straight.

Better late than never: Thank you everyone involved for doing another Revision.
From what I have seen and heard, never before there had been that many tears at a demoparty. And rightly so. The sky was crying, too, after all.
Props to way and dojoe for you-know-what.

Let's not go further down the rabbit hole of how the mainstream media, of which The Guardian is a flagship, completely discredited itself over this matter (and many more). By 2023, hundreds of clinical tests were done with ivermectin, and the worst finding was that it has no effect, neither negative nor positive. At the same time, hydroxychloroquine, which was widely used as a treatment, turned out to be highly unsafe and increased mortality. But this isn't a topic for this topic or forum, so don't bother responding. Just please don't use stupid journalists' opinions in lieu of yours.

If it's not a topic for this forum, perhaps you should not tout your views about it (and then tell others not to argue back).
