A very active and enthusiastic demoscener and skilled developer, he was a warm-hearted and generous individual, dedicated to igniting the passion for programming in the minds of many young individuals he encountered. So sad, so unexpected, I met him last at the alchimie 2017 I guess. Very communicative and friendly guy. My though goes to family and all the cool bands he's been in.

I didn't know him well, only spent a demoparty in his company, and interacted during the orga of Shadow Party. But I thought the energy he put into teaching code was admirable. During the lockdown period of the pandemic, he taught online classes to some sceners' kids, giving them the spark while freeing a bit of precious time to their parents.
He will be missed.

My condolences. I knew him through the Shadow Party and he was really helpful.

I normally stay far from RIP-related threads as most of the time I don't know the people at all. I cannot say I truly knew Steve but around 2002, we chatted together on IRCnet and I joined Syn[rj] (at least, the irc channel) for a short period of time.

Steve knew I wanted to share my music through demos and especially intros and because he appreciated my latest release for the net(group|label) camomille, he told me he wanted to turn it into a zik disk and that's how I ended up a part of Syn[rj] for a short time.

I never met him and only when it's too late I realise it would have been nice to share a beer with him.

RIP Stv. My condolences to his family.

I'm truly shocked by this news.
Last time I met Stv it was at the Alchimie 2019 and I still remember the great conversation we had together, outside the party building, watching the full moon outside and discussing demos, life & stuff.
RIP Steve. You will be missed.
