with great sadness that I post to inform you that Spotter of TRSi has passed away.

Another kind and always motivated member of the demoscene. May he rest in peace and never been forgotten by the scene and his beloved ones.

Yeah, Dirk (Irata) just called me up with the same sad message. Rest in peace! He was far too young and a quite nice person. We've always enjoyed our phone calls.

I will never forget our nice talks, especially having breakfast together at the Crystal hotel in Saarbrücken during Revision.. and am happy to have contributed to his video entry some years ago with my music.

Christian was a totally nice and amazing person - may he rest in peace and all the best to his family and close friends.

I've been talking with Lincoln this afternoon, and he informed me.
I can't describe how much I'm devastated.
I don't have any words to describe our friendship/family feeling.
Yesterday was the anniversary date of him coming to my bar with Judith and his wonderful children.

What a sad loss. Spotter was a lovely guy. I did a long oral history interview with him at Revision 2017, and we kept in touch ever since.

He was the driving force behind all those TRSi releases of the past decade which were groundbreaking. Despite his Demozoo entry activity beginning in 2007, he was around for much longer than that, being active under different nicknames in the Amiga scene from the late 1980s onwards. And he was one of the few demosceners who was a _real_ hacker at the same time, being part of the very early Chaos Computer Club. His story how he had to wash dishes for Steffen Wernéry as as sort-of "joining test" for the club really cracked me up.

Rest in peace, Spotter, I will miss you a lot.
