Maf was, and will stay, one of my favourite demoscene musicians.
I discovered his music around 2004-2005 when listening to Nectarine.
His unique, cheerful boncy game-like style inspired and influenced my own creations.
I never met him, exchanged "hi", sent an email... Now I wish I did.

Sad as fuck I am :/

What sad news to hear right after his music popped up today while randomizing my library. I never really bothered my mom with my hobby but I did burn her a copy of Maf's Beyond the Pouet album because she said something along the lines of it being the happiest sounding music she had ever heard. Rest in piece, unique talent.

Oh this is so sad ! I was actually (re)listening to some of his fabulous modules a few weeks ago :(
I discovered his mods around 1995 in a French zine called "PC Team" (that is eventually how eventually I also felt into the demoscene)

RIP Maf !

Maf was also one of my favourite demoscene musicians and I've been listening to his tracks regularly for probably over two decades now. He had such a unique style made of pure zaniness and happiness.
Rest in peace mate, you won't be forgotten!

I joined the scene too late, never had the opportunity to meet him, knew his music and this is just about it, he did not need to be met, you just happened to know his music because his music spoke for himself.

Sorry to hear this. Maf was and is a big favourite on Nectarine radio, with his weird, unique, bouncy and imaginative style, like a brass band on a trampoline (ON ACIIIID).

My faves are: 81, Aspartame Remix, Astrosplif, Beyond the Pouet (sorry guys), Cocoon Land, Liquid Synths, Maf Land, Poin, Puipui, Semoule, Shroomy, Sync, TNS II, Tractomion 2.0, Tuturne Land, and Zède.
