Hey orgas, can we have some ambient light in the hall ? Its so dark you cant see the cable ducts on the floor and other random stuff left behind.

What happened to the light that was always on the central hallway and on the walls ?

Thanks to all orgas. It's been really nice to be back at a demoparty after 5 years.

Although the big gate at the left of the bigscreen was only closed because it was broken I found it better because the bigscreen was much darker. Perhaps this could a permanent solution.

And there was a funny idea for the tracked remix compo for next year. Or perhaps even as streaming music. Produce a remix of »Cocio & Finsprit« by Reflex!

Considering how I wasn't sure whether to attend or not until two days before the party and then, once there, being worried about it not holding up to hyped expectations:
Wow, this was a blast! Not only did I manage to submit a music entry, it was shown - and, AFAICR, this was the first time for one of my entries appearing on the prizegiving slides.

Looking back, this weekend offered a pretty good variety in the experiences, including memes, live acts, DJ sets, a trip to the music store in Köln, randomly meeting _Ook there, playing around on seatsea's new Elektron FM-synth groovebox, lots of great production, DJing and other advice by Danko, Andro, dojoe, jco, Nodepond-o, moral support by HellMood, meeting and hearing again from Lynn, Saga Musix, The Compiler, Arrbyte.
Thanks, guys. Let the IRL parties continue.

That was amazing! Although I barely recovered from Portugal so I wasn't there the whole time, it was really nice to be back again at Evoke. Didn't got around to say either hi or goodbye to the lot of you but nothing but love!

My first Evoke, and now I see why xxx kept trying to "recruit" me to attend when we met at Revision 2015. Wonderful laid-back party atmosphere, good visual and soundsystem, everyone was very helpful and somehow not cranky after low sleep, much respect for all people, much respect for the demoscene itself. I'll treasure these memories for life.

Wish I could have had more time to talk to people: Pixtur, Saga Musix, blueberry, steeler, so many others I would have loved to have conversations with, but with a shot voicebox and compo deadlines, never got around to it. Hopefully next time.

Extra thanks to Hellmood for somehow containing the energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement 20 demosceners rolled into one person.

Cozy as always, and strong releases too. The interactive compo was excellent, and the alternative platform compo is one for the history books. Lovebyte Turbo was the icing on the cake: Such a great idea, perfectly executed, and lots of jaw-dropping entries. (Speaking of which, can be expect a release soon?)

BTW, I also made some photos, but it's really few this time.

Yeah ... Lovebyte Turbo. What a cool idea. Although the dj-set was a bit too long. :)

Thank you very much for organizing a new evoke, it was really awesome to visit a party in person again after this long outage. I've heard many people say, and I can also confirm, that it felt just as if it was yesterday since the last evoke. The scene spirit is alive and kicking. Very great releases this year!

I just have a very minor complaint, maybe it could be addressed for the future. I'd like to visualize the problem:

As someone who slept inside the hall (amids the air flow), I was constantly exposed to the outside smoke. Maybe the other back entrance from last year would work better, maybe some areas could be restricted to non-smoking, I'm not sure what would be the best solution. But what I'm really sure of is that a smoke-free hall would be better for everyone's health.

- the other big entrance door was broken, so we could not open it this year.
- smokers are not allowed to smoke indoors anymore, so now they should be restricted outdoors too? I don't think this is a good solution, and such a rule will be broken anyway.

That was fun! So great to see so many people IRL again and have some really good chats. Sad I missed a bunch of people, hopefully we will speak soon! And so chuffed to have released a demo and made people endure it during the compo lol! Expect more, not done at all! :D
