What does Demosceners thinking about NFT?

No idea what this (the book) has to do with HIV/AIDS, except the usual mud throwing.

You're right. Sorry for going off-topic.

It does warm my heart that even with radically different political views we can all agree that NFTs are idiotic.

Same.

I am flattered that anything “conspiracy” related gets immediately linked back to me. That being said, you should always read the primary source and make up your own mind.

And for the record and since it was brought up, this is my view on HIV/AIDS:

AIDS exist but it’s not caused by HIV, rather it has a wide variety of causes. Two examples of which are; malnutrition and the excessive use of toxic drugs such as “poppers”. There are plenty of books which you can read on the topic, as always: Make. up your own mind.

And to get back on topic, the financial system works like a casino which is heavily rigged in favor of the ultra high rollers. It’s the same as it always has been; the rich stealing from the poor. And in the end you have to feel sorry for people who are addicted to all this power and wealth. Many of them live a life of fear, paranoia and loneliness and have to go from one dopamine rush (more power and wealth) to the next, wreaking havoc along the way.

Grow your own food if you want something of real value.

Yeah yeah but can we back to how dumb NFTs are, that's a lot more fun topic.

NFT’s are the same; people looking for a fix in the casino.

Well, writing strong comments and controversial stuff on forums is a kind of addiction. It gives you dopamine rush, so people will continue doing it ;) As there is not much more to say about NFT anymore, we will seek for alternative.

Damn right, I can only use Pouet in moderation ;)

It would be interesting to hear from someone who thinks NFT's are a good idea, for whatever reason. Circle jerking gets repetitive after a while.

Gabbie: it's a little bit like casino, but not so extreme as casino. It's like comparing casual drinker to an alcoholic.

Printing trillions of dollars (and counting), is not casual drinking. How many Pepper Schnapps can any one system handle?

I’d say the financial system is more like an alcoholic who has to get it’s stomach pumped on a continual basis. Not only that, the people who are pumping his stomach know that it is futile and that his stomach will eventually burst. But on the outside they would like you to believe that the “patient is doing just fine”, and that he is just a “casual drinker” who is going through a “bit of a rough time”. And they will be sure to leave the room, just in time, leaving us with the mess and the bill.

The game is; buy low, sell high. You can’t predict the future, but you can certainly bet on it. This is what makes the whole thing a literal casino. And it is a rigged casino because certain players can bet with foreknowledge, which happens all the time and in many different ways. Just search for “US Congress Insider Trading” if you want any proof of this.

“based” Elon Musk also likes to play this game a lot and is very good at it;

- Buy a million Crapcoin for $ 1,00
- Create bogus hype
- Sell high at $ 6,00 (a clean $ 59 million profit)
- Torpedo the whole thing (say it’s bad for polar bears or whatever)
- Rinse and repeat

And he doesn’t even have to leave the house or put his pants on. Who would be able to resist such an temptation?

Casino addicts are like alcoholics, because they are irrational and just harming themselves = only losing money. Pretty much like crypto/NFT junkies.

But if you play with money the smart way, like Elon in your example, you are also taking some risks, but you are more rational and you do it for the true benefit and yes, pleasure, which is closer to casual drinker behaviour.

The same is for posting on forums, if you are an alcoholic-type, you will get addicted to cheap thrills and you will post a lot of controversial posts frequently, but it may harm yourself in a long run - you will lose credibility, reputation etc.. but if you are more rational type and you can control yourself, you will take dopamine hits responsibly and play for much higher stakes. For example, you will make a demo.

bla bla bla
(also, early 2020, i guess stock market was a better choice than crypto.. i'm up 180% :P)
I'd just like to interject that poppers or amyl nitrate does not cause AIDS and I'm not sure I like the gay angle on this either. There's throng of people in Africa with all sorts of sexual orientations, the majority heterosexual I dare to assume, that have died of AIDS that have never been on the same continent as any mildly popular party drugs or muscle relaxants.

Anyway, NFTs are still crap and some pro people have written earlier in this thread. Here's another stupid ape:

The casino is rigged in Elon Musks favor, how is that “smart”? Or ethical? At least in a casino everyone is screwed the same way, more or less.

And which “true benefit” is Elon Musk getting from it? More money to fill the hole where his soul used to be? His “pleasure” comes at the expense of ordinary (and gullible) people. He is not the saint that some people make him out to be.

Also, there are plenty of high functioning alcoholics out there who not only harm themselves but also everyone around them. Throw some cocaine in the mix and you’ve got yourself a real party.

WTF?! I guess you go by default for the "opinion" that is exactly the opposite of scientific consensus. Does this make your life.more.intwresting? Do you feel smarter than others?

"Science" is not a popularity contest. Without evidence, the "scientific consensus" means nothing.

I heard someone compare NFT with buying something, but only getting a receipt and no actual product.
