Like last year, Daddy Freddy's fine, nifty xmas postcard was the first card to arrive! Thank you! While I wanted to finish my cards today anyhow, it gave me an extra motivational boost to do so :) International cards are going to be shipped tomorrow. \o/

I'm, of course, delayed with my grand idea. Hang tight..

I'm hoping to have mine done this week, people seemed to like what I did last year, so it's something similar again :)

Shoot. The post office in Finland has pretty early "guaranteed deadlines" this year: cards heading outside Europe should be sent today, for the post office to guarantee that the card makes it in time. Fortunately, I have only one to send outside Europe so I'll do just that. Still, damn... Elves need to work harder; the cards to Europe should also be sent by the 8th.

Deadline crunch is a true demoscene way to build up holiday spirit.

I figure some might arrive late due to international deadlines and potentially slower pandemic mail. It happens. Do what you can. I put the mid-December soft "deadline" in the rules as a suggestion so people get the idea they shouldn't purposely wait until end of January to send them or whatever. :)

If anyone runs into major issues, you can always let me know. Especially if they'd cause you not to be able to send something, as I can see what we can do or a heads up for the recipients.

I sent the cards heading outside Europe yesterday i.e on time but it was surprising just to see how much earlier the post office deadlines are this year.... Granted, I'd imagine those are quite pessimistic and the cards are likely to be delivered much faster in practice. Hope you all get your cards!

I got the cards from Starchaser (great work with the card!) and HappyDude (thanks a lot for the beer mug!) yesterday.

I posted the cards last week, but the Hungarian postal service is not the best postal service in the world (especially near the Christmas), so please be patient :)

There's no requirement to make anything, but I think some do because they want to and it's fun.
