best GroupName

category: general [glöplog]
Idk why, but recently I started liking group names that feel very... uh.. like established structures with a lot of legacy and history. Think "big corporation" stuff.
Rather hard to describe what I mean, but let's have a few examples (randomly selected):

- Abyss Connection
- Tristar & Red Sector Inc.
- Fairlight
- Titan
- Razor 1911
- Radwar Enterprises

Gray area:
- Conspiracy

These are cool names, but don't feel like the above at all:
- Future Crew (yeah, no, idk, "future", "cyber", "INTERNET!11")
- Farbrausch (association -> farbige Knetmasse!)
- Booze Design (booze -> unprofessional)
- Akronyme Analogiker (funny, but again, unprofessional)

These are scheisse:
- 5711
- K2

Disclaimer: All examples have been randomly chosen by a random random number generator that is guaranteed to be random. Any negative statements in the comment above are not related to the respective groups but are only to be taken as a ratings regarding the enterpriseness of the name, and the name only.

TL;DR: I live in a dream wonderland parallel universe where demoscene groups are street gangs and if you dare to overspray the untouchable grafitti of <insert srs bsns group name here> you get your ass cracked.

PotcFdk: i might say if this is seen from a realtalk perspective, i actually agree with you mostly. I totally dig your TL;DR, the gang aspect is a pretty nice and pretty exact "romantic" vision of how scene was actually presenting itself to me personally.
Since it sort of makes a connection to "The Wanderers", i really like(d) the names
-Wanderer Group
-Eagle Soft Inc.
-Section8
and for the middle-age ones
-Silents
-Thrust
-Spreadpoint
and of the modern names i really like
-Kewlers
-Jumalauta
-Stroboholics
just because they seem to "sound bold" and shaped their image accordingly

@wertstahl: Some years back a dude posted a product image of a dog poo removal tool that had "scoopex" (scoop [up] excrement) on it. Didn't find it when looking for it, though.

I vote for "The Planet of Leather Moomins".

Fake That.

Captures the spirit of trickery to achieve a desired effect and challenges others to try it aswell ^^
