Silly Venture 2k17 - uniting the Atari community since 2k!
category: parties [glöplog]
My dear fellows, we have April already, so it's time to take a decision about future of SV. As I wrote before, this year's edition could take place from 8th to the 10th of December (Firday-Sunday). Above you can see preliminary version of the new logo, which (without exceptions since 2000!) has been prepared by mOOnie / MSB.
I also consider possibility of and official invitaion for colleagues from C-64 scene. By writing "official" I mean organization of competitions dedicated to this platform. What do you think? Anticipating any questions - no other platforms are considered.
However, to make all these plans a reality, I would ask you to take a part in the survey, prepared by Wieczór. Survey is bilingual. This year's edition of the SV fate depends on its results (because edition in 2018 is rather certain).
SURVEY
I count on your activity. Final decision will be announced this month yet.
I've already booked tickets, so well, there better be a party when I get there ;)
@_AdamK_: you've booked tram tickets, I guess?
I know some people have also booked their flights as well ....
Cool logo! Tram tickets booked too =)
ATARI forever.
SillyVenture is the best atari party, let's have another one (and more next years).
I'll bring another prod (try to guess for which computer, haha)

I'm mentally there already!
opening sv for c64 is like opening the box of pandora!
we, as nordlicht organizers, know what we are talking about ;)
(j/k, great to see more support for other platforms)

And i thought it was a bread box...
Just kidding.
I met Graham of Oxyron exactly once, and that was on a SillyVenture, so...
@Grey: tickets are tickets, and those are already booked :P
102 responses so far. If all of those translate into entries then this will be cool :) Though I expect more will join up too :)
I completed the form but I'm absolutely rubbish at everything so I don't think I'll be able to enter anything into a competition :(

c64 scene already has X, and (shared with Amiga) Datastorm. I'm not sure if the interest would be very big and even as someone that isn't close with the Atari platforms I feel it's nice to know there are some pure-platform parties out there.
SV will be Atari-only party as years before. So far 104 persons took a part in the survey, the results will be published on sunday or monday with additional comment from my side. Stay tuned!
One day left to fill the survey. Decision will be announced tommorow. The goal was to have 150 voters (so far we have 105) - http://www.sillyventure.eu

Sod that, the C64 gets enough demoparties as it is. Let SV be ATARI ONLY.

This year's edition of Silly Venture will be held from 8th to 10th December (Friday-Sunday) - that is according to the date proposed in the poll. 110 people took part in it, thank you very much for that! The results are shown on attached picture.
So it looks pretty well, we can not present your comments, but I will only tell you that productions are already being made, starting from VCS to Falcon (so far no declaration on Lynx and Jaguar entries).
mOOnie has sent other versions of logo, but we decided together, that this year will use one already shown to you.
SV remains ATARI ONLY party - nothing in this matter will change :)
Works related to invitations have started. The first should appear in about 3 weeks :)

We are so proud to announce that one of most talented YM2149 music composers (the author of the famous maxYMiser - the best and most up to date chip tracker for Atari ST) will have his Music Performance on the forthcoming SV edition:
gwEm (Astralwerks, Shitkatapult) - London / UK
Short biography of the artist:
With a career in chip music lasting more than 15 years and over two hundred gigs in at least twenty countries, few musicians in the chiptune scene can claim to be more seasoned than gwEm. His travels have taken him as far east as Japan, as far north as Norway, as far south as India, as far west as the United States and he has no plans of hanging up his trademark Atari ST computer anytime soon.

The official SV2k17 website should be available this week, but in the meantime we would like to present a small "preview" in form of the logo and soundtrack composed by Marcin Cichocki (known as Mr. Quiet / Futuris).

Breaking the law!
Breaking the law of what?
The law of having something ready before the deadline ;-)
ATAAAARIIIIIIIIIIII ;)
This should be the best Sillyventure party yet. An ideal opportunity to be part of something big within the Atari scene :)
