nope. it's not. java logo is supposed to be a cup of hot coffee in front of any background. If you look inside JavaCup.ico in the official j2se sdk you'll find 9 different java logos in various forms/sizes/colors with most of the time black backgrounds. which are transparent tho, so the applet viewer is going to show the icon on a blue background (as long as that is the color of your windows' title bars). the notorious white logos found on java.sun.com are just because of the boring white sun.com corporate webdesign.

in short words: the java logo with black background simply looks better inside the given border design. please go back to that :)

hmm funny, the first link you posted shows the cup on a grey background right on top of the site, the second shows it on a dark merchandise t-shirt.

and again: the current white java logo on pouet is just butt-ugly. but I guess it's hopeless now anyway.

yes, thats the one that looks horridly worse then the white one. which is why im keeping the white one...

nothing against black backgrounds.. its just that it makes the cup completly unrecognizable...
