Hi!

As I've sayed in my first post, I'm kind of a noob here and decided to jump in the train of the demoscene (not really a noob cause I'm 34 and use to enjoy cracktros on my Amstrad & Atari but still, I need to learn a lot).

So even if I'm googling a lot about it, it would be cool if you could help me to improve my knowledge by letting me suck what's inside your brain!

To say it short: I would be glad to have your opinion & thoughts about the basic knowledge that one must have about the scene.

Could be the most "important" groups (to you at least) or the "must-seen" demos (both old & new) or the best music or gfx, etc.

2 important things to me, if possible, are :

1/ old school is cool but also new & recent stuff please
2/ not only demos but, if possible, great music & great gfx as well

if you also got important or funny anecdotes about the scene, please share it here... everything that matters to you about the scene, in fact.

For this purpose we used to have the article Introduction to the Demoscene in Hugi.

Gargaj: most top demos were released in 2000-2010 .. But in the current decade not so much.. Less people who are voting (or whatever formula is used) than in 2000-2010 ?

it is because pouet is dying with the scene! RIP pouet!

I wish that scene doesn't fade out. Not now and not when the new people come to it and ..
