Great! Please, Pink, tell us more!

It looks and sounds like AHX. How many channels support? Will there be a player routine for Amiga?

Thanks for all your nice comments!

Some infos about Comeback Tracker (CBT):
If you look for lots of channels, multiple command rows, sample support or VST interfacing then CBT is perhaps not suited for you.
CBT also doesn't support or emulate a certain hardware chip. Tho it mimic sounds you know from SID and AMIGA.
In general, CBT was done to create chipmusic without too much hassle.
It was also done to create 'new' chipmusic. CBT should inspire to discover new chip territory.
Its very easy on the surface but gives you a lot of room for experiments.

CBT is currently available for Windows.
When the beta is over the tracker will be released also for your web browser (emscripten!)
and perhaps for osx and linux (bartman/abyss already did some successful test).

- CBT produces small songs. <1kb if you need, but usually 4-5kb (unpacked!).
The replayer is suited for intros (lets say 8kb intros).

- The tracker supports 4 channels. This is a chip tracker, not Cubase.
However, if you are more into newschool fakechip music its not problem.
You can play chords with up to 4 voices and you have 'note fade'
on adsr release which gives you additional polyphony.
You also have a slapback delay which usually saves you another channel.

An example using the chord feature is this cover of Julius´ 'Announce' song:
7kb CBT version:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DD_hoW-znEg
>200kb Protracker version
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IASmsy3yz7U&feature=youtu.be&t=1m57s

You can import
- Protracker songs (without the samples of course)
- AHX songs (tho not everything works out of the box)

Sound synthesis:
The core of the instruments is a programmable command table, a bit like AHX but much more powerful.
It can operate in up to 16x multispeed (thats is ~1ms resolution). You have unlimited substeps and
plenty of commands to shape your sound (even esoteric stuff like oscillator foldback).

Arpeggio/Chord information is set directly in the patterns and the instruments can use
this information.

On the surface the sound possibilities remind on SID.
Each instrument has a single OSC, It supports square(with duty cycle),triangle, saw and noise.
Those waveforms can be combined (like on SID) but also pitched/detuned against which gives a new world of basic sounds.

- Each OSC can choose for none/lowpass/highpass/bandpass filtering.
- Each instrument has a custom Vibrato
- ADSR is very much like on SID. You can trigger it also from the instrument command table.
The ADSR has also a high resolution mode. Nice for percussion/drum sounds.

Another very powerful feature is 'Multi Instruments'. This means you can chain instruments together.
For instance a bass sound and a bassdrum sound. You can do this directly from the instrument or even
with a custom command in the patterns. I use it a lot to have my drums and bass on a single channel.

From the pattern channels you can also trigger stuff like Ring modulation and OSC hardsync (like on SID).

The gui supports a normal and BIG mode. This makes the tracker better usable on small netbook screens.

If you are an experienced musician and want to
try the tracker and do a demosong just look here:

Thanks for your fast answer.

Wow! Plenty of nice features! I really don't need more than 4 channels. I'm a Protracker guy! I just asked out of curiosity as there are a few chipmusic trackers, like Hively, with 6 or more channels support. But 4 channels are enough.

Please, do a linux version cause I want to try it on my Raspberry Pi.

Looks and sounds awesome. How much rastertime does it need during playback? Is this usable on OCS 68000 machines, or does it need more cpu-power?
