@waffle: Make MORE SEATS! I will be very disappointed if you do not bring everyone from your fair home country. And I do mean everyone.

New event! Since we moved from Ås, the soccer compo has been sorely missed; unfortunately, reinstating it hasn't been so easy due to lack of playing arena, but this year, we have a great replacement: The Solskogen street basket compo! Details TBA. Bring your basket shoes and calibrate those long-distance shots. :-)

That guy in the middle looks a bit like Dozer from behind.

More announcements!

Allergic to sun and can't come? Borders closed after Brexit and not too good with the VIC chip? Lost in the woods but still have Wi-Fi? The Solskogen stream is there for you, and this year it's optimized for oldschool: Solskogen brings you the world's first variable-framerate demoscene stream.

By default, the stream will be in gorgeous 720p60 for maximum smoothness (downscaled from the 1080p60 signal sent to the projector), but come oldschool time, we'll switch the entire production chain to 50 Hz for that C64 and Amiga goodness—and the stream will follow suit seamlessly. So bring out those CRT or G-SYNC monitors, and enjoy the compo with no jitter :-)

Of course, if you actually come to the party instead, that's going to be great, too. =)

That would be live.solskogen.no when the party starts, of course.

Compo-update: I can confirm that we'll get at least one NVIDIA 1080 as a prize this year, and: we accept remote entries!

Stream is up! http://live.solskogen.no. Unfortunately we've been having problems with the ISP at the partyplace, so we've had to reduce the bandwidth and thus also video quality. Bear with us as we work with the ISP to get the full quality and stability the compos deserve.

Live shader compo coming up at 20… ish. :-)

@spitfire: What browser/device, and what URLs does it give you at the bottom? It seems to work fine for me when I test.

Chrome. My connection is slow and im far away, but I do have more success with the 720 version where i see a few seconds. The 480 just never loads. Using VLC doesnt help either

'Made with Nageru and Cubemap. For use with a non-web player (e.g. VLC), use http://cubemap-ams.party.solskogen.no/solskogen-low.mp4 (MP4) or http://live.solskogen.no/solskogen-low.m3u8 (HLS). Also Google Cast enabled.'

What does “slow” and “far away” mean, more specifically? :-)
