already sent all the details. twice.

All untergrund.net sites seem down (just tried out four different ones):

"The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request."

Any update on what's wrong and when it'll be back?

Does this have to do anything with Untergrund still only working with unsecured FTP connections?

i think it has more to do with old and insecure php scripts/boards running unmodified for years on orphaned user accounts

That's why we have permissions, so that insecure scripts can't read or write outside their directory. Plaintext passwords over the wire though...

Actually the problem is peoples PCs getting infected, and FTP passwords stolen. This is neither a security issue on the server nor a matter of FTP being unencrypted - it's simply that PCs used to login to untergrund.net are hacked.

We are right now in the process of moving our whole datacenter. All untergrund.net services including mail will be down for a couple of hours.

I will post again once the migration is done.

Services should be restored now, but there still is stuff to do. Please report any issues you may see.

Any idea how long this might take? I have over 60.000 files on there that are linked on demozoo.

I can go into one subdirectory via ftp and see some files there, the rest of the directories gives an error:
Can't change directory to /pubftp/POUET/bk0010: No such file or directory

I notice there is a bla.txt

ftp.untergrund.net still only appears to serve "bla.txt" :\

let's hope nobody gets crazy and fiddles around with all those atm broken links :)
