Whoa there, deletors. This thread isn't about good or bad or even deleting anything except the opaque boxes that were clearly meant to blend in with the background.

I did a Pouet logo. png24 bit with transparency is 200k and couldnt upload it due to 128k barrier. shame on me i had to convert inferior gif format :(

here's the logo in actual size:

No you didn't. An 8-bit PNG is pretty much always (unless were talking about something like 16x16 icons) smaller than its GIF equivalent. Comparing the size of a 24-bit PNG vs an 8-bit GIF is comparing apples and oranges. Also, as pointed out before, tools like PNG Gauntlet will help you getting the size of your PNG down without any quality loss. Other tools can also do lossy transformations to PNG files which won't harm the image fidelty (at least not very much), yet drastically reduce the file size.
Only downloadable as jpg. Doesn't flickr store the original unmodified file? Also 2560x1162 is much too huge for a pouet logo imho. And where's transparency? If it used to be there it got lost by flickr converting it to jpg.

i've uploaded 700x200 px something 256 colors png some hours ago. it's waiting for the admin to approve i think.

And if you're on windows (or have something like Wine on your platform) use IrfanView including its plugins for all your Resize/Resample-, PNG-conversion/compression (use PNGOUT there)-, Bitdepth-conversion- and a lot other needs.

It's even the wrong background colour.

Admins don't approve logos, at least not any more than regular users do. Logos are voted on and those with a positive score are shown on the website. If you visit the logo section of a user profile you can hover logos to see their score. As far as I know each logo is only voted on once per person and they can't change their vote later.
Most of these are in need of a fix.

These too (and also seem almost like dupes).

I think http://content.pouet.net/logos/mantraz2.gif can be improved. It at least tries to be transparent in some places.
Needs a fix: http://content.pouet.net/logos/poeut.gif (why does pouet shows me a new broken logo whenever I post here?)
