Question about NFO files.
Files edited under Amiga CED, while uploaded in to here, automatically are (I suppose) decoded in to DOS characters. Thus a nice looking Amiga file become an uglish DOS hybrid.
Any hint, please?

Please have a look:
1. Defalut Amiga TOPAZ
2. Default DOS

Both files where edited in the same way.

Thank you.

So how is it SUPPOSED to look like? What's the original?

Gargaj:

Look at the cube + "exlosion" from 1)., which is the CORRECT result, and compare it to 2). which was, sokminda on-the-fly "converted" while uploading.

To see more details, please, download the(se) prod(s), and look at the NFO (notepad or whatever you use). They are not in DOS encoding.

Or use i.e. ACID viewer with Amiga Topaz charset on.

I proposed once, back in the daze, a feature - while uploading the NFO file - to choose in which format (DOS/Amiga medres charset) a user wish to upload a file to.

The same here.

Would be nice to know how to upload a file to see it in the original appearance, as it was done, in here.

Thx.

nothing is converted, it's just that the display font is chosen depending on the platform, check the display modes below the nfo file :)

we could prolly change the default one for atari

Thank you Tomoya and Gargaj for your reaction.

I know these options. Good idea in all.

Ha! That is a way - depending on the platform. So there is no a txt-format dectecting routine while a TXT (NFO) file is uploaded (what I thought).

There is a problem with this prod:
IMHO not really procedural graphics. Otherwise almost everything should become procedural graphics.

There is a problem with this prod : the correct compo category should be "pc 256b" and not "combined 256b". Thank you for correcting.
