Well, the only one that would be worth buying for me, is transparent version. I bet it would look awesome with black keys (and maybe some LED light inside).

I'll answer all of your quite simply:

The point of our Kickstarter is to build new A1200 casings. Thats it !
New casings = new Amiga computers !
(Of course, an old one get a new life in a new case as well)

We've launched this KS to make NEW cases. Thats the main point.
If you don't like our initiative, we respect that.

- Some peoples want unbroken, unscratched and clean cases.
- Some peoples dont just want "Paint Jobs", they want the real deal.

We dont "want" 125k, we need to reach this goal to build the 3x new molds to manufactures the cases. Thats it. 90K minimum for the molds, without productions costs, modeling costs or R&D!
Beside "lol", you could actually support us with a case ;)

Again, if every Amiga fans that i've seen on all forums, instead of just trying to pull our initiative down, just actually supported our campaign with the 20Eur pledge or even 1 case, we've been near our goal already !

All existing cases have more than 20 years old.

These new cases are
- 100% compatible with jens Amiga 1200 Reloaded Motherboard
- 100% compatible with all existing Amiga 1200 motherboard revisions
- having multiple enhancements
- available in multiple colors as well as in Transparent
- are supporting Raspberry Pi as well as Keyrah adapter
*I doubt you can achieve those with "simple paintwork" ;)

We're also working on new keyboards and new key caps.

Well fuck me silly, I thought I was cracking a joke but there already IS a Red Sector Inc. special edition, which (among other things) includes an "RSI VIP Groupmember Chat IRC Invitation" :D I stand corrected!

I just saw that they support Raspberry Pi with the Amiga 1200 keyboard. This is somehow interesting imo. Even though nothing beats real hardware.

Seriously we just played the game best we could here to help the Amiga community (it was Inreaching after all and Amiga is a big thing for most of us).

When you think of it, somebody typed it easy for you but not all grasp its reality :



So the real question is : do you really want to revive the Amiga so there exists newcommers, because 20 euros is cheap ot pitch in for such dream imho.

I'm holding off my order until they make a NEXTEMPIRE edition with a police car key fob.

Well, you understood correctly I assume : since there is a discrete (finite) amount of cased A1200 lying around, a new user will only acquire one through someone selling it (thus parting from use base himself) .

I guess the exact right wording, if you insist to play on words, would be something along the likes of :

We're not against that at all, and if you tell us that 30x NEXTEMPIRE Special Edition cases are going to be pledged because you know all your buddies want one, we'll do it !

As i have don't have any clue on how to get in touch with the guys from NE, show my message to their leader. We're good to do their case ;)

We like ALL scene groups, and if there is room for RSI and SCOOPEX edition, there is room for NE edition as well.

The most important here, is that we reach our KS goal to be able to make new molds !
Thats the absolute most important thing here.
With these molds you're going to have new cases, and from your groups name !

One more thing:
If any of RSI or SCOOPEX wants to manufacture again cases after their scene name with other colors or just because they want 1 case for each of their team members, we'll do it. Because they've supported us so nicely and being awesome people.
Who else in the galaxy will be able to do give you that ? ;)

I think scene people are all awesome, despite the santa barbara stories.. because to be such creative people you have to be huge, guys ;)
