The creation of these invites was an awesome process to be involved with, even if I just had time to write some texts- let's do something more serious together after the party! :)

bicycle directions from train station to party

Ok, I am considering this instead of the bus or taxi, as the party is only half an hour away by bicycle. It depends if I panic/run out of time and have to bring my PC tower (in which case I'll have to borrow a monitor from somebody local).

It's 24 euro to reserve a fiets for the length of the party, and there is a liquor store 24 minutes away. Do I need to paint you a picture? : D
Although honestly in NL there are better things than alcomohol.

Also, there are strict laws in the Netherlands about being drunk (or otherwise chemically impaired) on a bicycle, which is worth mentioning at this point.

And of course, I welcome cautionary admonitions from organizers. I can do this the boring way, but the interesting way might be more interesting.

And yes, I looked at the map to the partyplace from the train, and as this is the Netherlands, even if those are busy roads I assume there is a bicycle lane or something. Even if there are two roundabouts.

Bicycle ride from the railway station to Willemsoord is quite doable (all flat terrain, major roads have separate bike lanes indeed). Being drunk or stoned on your bicycle is not going to be a problem as long as you don't drive into innocent bystanders too much. The village supermarket at 3km probably also has some booze. And if you want to see something special at bikeable distance---> Giethoorn :)

Poobrain went to outline by bike once, from Breda to Eersel, took them more than 12 hours and this happened.

the dutch can bike without hands, while holding an umbrella, a full albert heijn bag and texting on the phone that the albert heijn ran out of teriyaki sauce so you bought oyster sauce instead, while racing through a 2m gap left by two speeding busses and cursing to some other biking individual that he's an untrained "kutmongool" for nearly biking into you! awww!

^ I did a field study on that subject after Revision. I can confirm.

Best. Bike. Ever. Even super drunk I recognize my bike in a pile of a hundred bikes at the central station without a problem. That color rocks…
