I think it's customary for award shows like this that the nominees can sit together - experience the excitement together, being able to congratulate your peers and all that. And since some of them had actually to go to the stage, it makes sense to put them in front.

But then I was a nominee myself and so my opinion is probably biased. :-P

I sat there without being a nominee because I didn't even know until halfway through; everyone was sitting on the signs :')

Then again, I had to announce an award so that probably counts for something.

This. As far as I know the scene.org awards reserved some seats as well, because you don't want the nominees passing through the hall. Otherwise it will get quite a long and boring show, waiting for people to pass though the crowd. This is custom for all the 'normal' awards shows as well btw. If you're seated in front there is a big chance you'll win.

But if the vast majority is against putting the nominees in front on labled chairs, I'm sure a solution could be thought off.

But of course the the DUB awards. We will from now on put our nominees in the back .. or maybe even in the trunk of a car!

That would be cool, blindfolded I pressume? But that wil mean you know what time it is, when a car comes to a screeching halt just in front of you, pulls you in, blindfolds you and takes off at high speed. I always hated it when that happend.

I know the party isn't over yet, but I thought I'd reveal myself since someone figured it out already. (They asked truck, who ID'd the source ... I mean I'm the only person who brings these sorts of odds and ends.)

I'm too tired to resize them here at the party, so sorry that they're huge. I tried something this Revision that I didn't tell anyone about until rather recently (someone asked truck and he ID'd the source). Over the course of Friday and Saturday I placed them at various spots, dispersing up to six of them. Did anyone run across one of these? :D

If you can't read them (the ones I spray painted to have brighter whites were all dispersed already) the front says "good for one free cheap bottled beer - no cash value -" and the back says "if you actually get a free beer for this thing, awesome - ".

If you did get one, it's up to you, but I think it's worth more by itself as a random thing than attempting to redeem it. :)

Correction, all are gone. I gave out the last one. :P I only made 9 total. Plus a similar amount or so of the ScenePoint tokens, which I distributed in a less surreptitious manner.
