Wauw! 2nd place in the exe-music compo! That's rather unexpected :D Thanks to everyone who voted for my track and congratulations to Virgill with the (well deserved) winning track. I hope to see a lot more 64klang tracks in executable music compos at parties to come :)
thx for voting "insania" in the gravedigger-compo. never would have thought that it would rank that high! makes me kind of proud and drives me into thinking about doing the c64, again.! really, dudes: THX!!!
Wow.. That was a nice party!!! Weather was great, Location was great, people were nice! I had a lot of fun. Thank you Sunspire and the Orga team!! Special greetings to the info desk :D
Thanks for a nice party, everyone!
It was my second demoparty, and I enjoyed it very much, most of the time (apart from double hangover on Saturday). I'd like to say that the sound system was absolutely great, all songs sounded superb on it, great work there. (The visuals were very good too, ofc)
I met a lot of nice and cool people, liked the location aswell, definately a good choice :)
And thanks for voting for my tune <3

Finally home, had some food, settling down..
It was a great party overall. I had a lot of fun seeing people again and drinking, talking, eating, laughing.. I need all of that in my life now more than ever, so thank you! <3
Organization wise, things were a bit messy... but despite that, I still feel that the organizers did their very best to make things work regardless, and it never stopped anyone from having a good time, even when the compos were interrupted halfway through (HAUPTSCHULE!!).
Other good things: sleeping area was pretty quiet so despite not sleeping a lot, I did at least sleep well... and I didn't get sick or a hangover for once, which is always a plus!

We also had the best beamer mounting ever, including a nice control system due to a not brought remote control ^^

Thank you for a great party this weekend. All nice people, the fantastic BBQ and the relaxed atmosphere. Yes, there were some delays (even getting to the point where it started to be annoying) but things went smoother on Saturday. And the delays were a minor issue, nothing compared to all the good features.
Doing my DJ-set was also great. The PA was powerful enough (to say the least) and quite some people came inside the hall to have a party even it was really nice weather outside. They seemed to have a good time and so had I. Thanks for the positive feedback on my set.

Party was perfect. Thanks to the organizers for their commitment! Thanks to the never-ending supply of icepops (had around 15 of them on saturday alone). And thanks to all the nice scene-people I had the pleasure to meet in person. And ... thanks for voting and letting me win 3(!) compos. I never had expected that.
@hardy: Thanks. :o)

@SunSpire: Can you please release an mp3 of »Through The Rainforest«? This song is really great and I cannot find it at scene.org.
That was a blast, really had an awesome weekend! Some many cool productions, nonstop boozing, loud dj-sets and relaxed crowd all packed together in a cozy location. Thanks to everybody for making this happen, hope to see you all @Nordlicht 2014!
Call for help:
who got the second nowhere voucher (i know the first one went to knoeki): we didnt get your email and need it to have the invitation-code send to you.

Agreed, great party with many quality prods and sets and awesome people to share beers and stories.
There were a few messups, but we all learned a lot and I'm confident things will be smoother next time. Having to think on your feet has a certain appeal though. :-)
In the pic above I was trying to get at a cable that was still connected to the beamer, but was needed at the orga desk to fix the C64 video issues. I'm not sure if anyone knew what I was up to right then or why I was asking around for a knife...

wysiwtf: If you mean that DinA4 paper, I gave it to Cons. Guess you have his email.
Yeah, i have it now. You got my email, i guess.
After re-thinking about this, i am sure, that i will not use the invitation code to paniqs game, because of two reasons. I don't own any kind of gfx card and i don't get one anytime soon, so playing it would be impossible for me and second, i really don't play that much.
So
If someone is interested to get the invitation code for paniqs new upcoming game "nowhere" with which you can download and play the alpha version and probably participate on the creation process through feedback, feel free to say so and you got it.

@CONS i can take it :)

well, i would like a nowhere license as well but i would rather give it to someone participating in the compos, or at least someone who was at the party.
ok skomp has a point and with CONS approval all the keys have been distributed now:
the lucky new owners of a nowhere license are:
Knoeki / DSS
Alien / TiTAN
Widdy / Nuance
have fun :)

ok.
after a good nights sleep and a day at work I can finally summarize my thoughts on the event:
on the nagtive side the amount of last-minute-fixes and impromptu solutions was too much too handle. we ran out of time were stressed out and had one too many fuckup in both the schedule and the compos. that was unfair for some competitors as well as DJs but we really tried to make it work. sadly sometimes it didnt. if there will be another nordlicht we will have to make some underlying changes in the organization structure and/or number of competitions/supported platforms, but thats a discussion for the future.
so a big sorry for everybody who was put down because of that, we didnt mean disrespect towards you and your entries.
on the positive side we got really a lot of nice responses and feedback, the weather was on our side, the party wasnt a financial disaster (although we had way more beer in stock than you bought ;) and even the location-staff was amazed of the scenery and it looks like we can have the location again if we want to (but again, nothing is written in stone, yet).
so in the end theres nothing for me to do than to shoutout a big fucking THANK YOU to
- our organizer-team, which somehow managed to stick together even in the hard times
- our sponsors and supporters: without you this event wouldnt have been possible
- to all of our visitors: you made the place being a sceneworld for a weekend and the atmosphere was really great most of the time.
- and of course to sunspire, our main-orga.
without him we never would have done nordlicht (or any other even in the northern area of germany) and who has taken a big (financial) risk on but always stayed focussed on the goal to make the party as fun for everyone as possible.
thats all i guess,
fire away
