@mog: Just a tip. To reduce GIF dithering, you should ramp up the contrast of the videos (in Virtual Dub for example) as high as possible.

Salinga, it's intented for some of the GIFs - but thank you for the hint, will try that :)
some of those would be cool as actual pouet-screenshots
@mog: Also, to prevent anim "smears", try to use a higher resolution video, and resize it down in Virtual-Dub, and sharpen it additionally to the higher contrast. The motion detection works much better then.
Salinga, tried throwing the mp4s into Photoshop and play with the dithering/colours? It's quite fun :)
