I had used muxm some time ago to play some xm file on my android phone. On the LG P500 playing a song take an average of 30% of the cpu on this phone. (For an app who play a xm file instead of the mp3 ringtone :p)
The lib is hard to find on internet now (and sadly i have lost my android port). But if you can find it, it is very easy to port (it's a pure java librarie). It's not good as droidsound i guess but just in case..

I use openAL for Android and my own xm player and it works. but I have problems with huge .so file to run with sound.

This application is useless to me if it doesn't loop MOD(/XM) files. Please fix this!

Holo is not compatible with older Android-versions...
There's a recording of 4mat on the toilet? I doubt he's happy about that one!
I use Droidsound and i must say, it's really good. It plays MODs, SIDs, NSFs and a lot of other formats.
How to make a ringtone from subsong?
Droidsound sure is a very nice app, but I'd really appreciate an Android port of Adplug to get some OPL2 sweetness on my LG-990.
@Serpent: First add that subsong to favorites using the PLUS-button, then create the ringtone from the entry in the favorites playlist.
