BREAKING FREE - Free 3CD Breakbeat Hardcore compilation type thing

category: music [glöplog]
Hello, it's Ruairi here in trying_not_to_spam_mode=1. I've been helping a few mates of mine with hosting regarding their 3CD compilation album which is available for free download.

Entitled "Breaking Free", it's a 3 hour and 42 minute journey into the resurgent hardcore breaks scene that's hit the UK, reflecting on raves past with techniques new (oh, hai Massive VSTi). Mixed by DJ Ponder, Luna-C (aka Smart-E's who did that silly Sesame Street rave track back in the early 90s) and London's DJ Skampy - the three mixes are distinctly different in style but still somewhat nice to listen to while sipping on Earl Grey Tea. Actually I meant, rinsing it out in whatever fashion may suit. I quite like Skampy's one I must say.

Anyway, please download the fucker here:

If you're on Facepalm and you like the album, be like Stamnes and Like us too:

this stuff pleases me.
Awesome! Luna-C did much more credible work than Smart-Es BTW (and the money paid for Kniteforce ;) ) Still got a stack of his vinyl.

BarZoule: I imagine I'll get something out at some point, maybe under the guidance of hoffman. I should ask him first though!

hoping for links to individual song files or chunks at some point; even a uni takes 40 minutes to get this downstream . . .

*salivating in anticipation*
metoikos: There are CUE files in the ZIP so you can separate the tracks out if you wish. All the metadata is there too.

If you have a specific requirement though let me know and I'll sort it for you - bear in mind I only have the mixes as 320kbps mp3.

If you prefer streaming it's also hosted at:

fantastic, thank you ruari.

I think a way to download each of the three mixes on their own would do for other folks, me I'm good now as I have them, liking what I've heard so far.. Bandcamp is excellent also. Thank you.

yay, also should tip a friend that likes this music about this :)
