I think those scientists really are only exploring the possibilities to find possible dangers. They are just not seeing that the research itself is probably much more dangerous.

Sure, due to the enormous scale of Liechtenstein even a big atomic bomb is unlikely to harm neighboring nations there. This might not apply to other, smaller countries though.

bah, the problem with atomic is the fall-out, radiation etc.
you shouldn't really bother about the few humans killed by the direct blast in comparison.
anyway, the biggest bomb had a vaporization of something like 15km in all direction. that is, without the people that are harmed by skin-burning and houses getting blown away by the enourmous air pressure.
