What has kept me busy since Breakpoint 2010: A huge white-collar crime
category: offtopic [glöplog]
I was already wondering, if it's really written by journalists, since the text feels kinda awkward from time to time and also quite some spelling errors, too. But maybe they've been in a hurry.
Tss, that's not business thinking. You gotta see the opportunities. If it's written badly right now, you could potentially make $$$ by creating a nicely written book about it. Or get shot.
Btw scamp, I like your company's general demeanor as well as the CI.
thanks, so do I :)
(is this the right moment to say "we want more sceners to work at viprinet - next we will be hiring a network engineer, most likely followed by another linux kernel hacker"?) </ad>
Good luck on getting back to business. It was nice seeing you on cebit. (I hope they were the real guys.) :)

it's actually the correct terminolgy ... "die Viprinet Gesellschaft mit begrenzter Haftung"
Yes, but that's only true if "Gesellschaft" or the abbreviation "GmbH" is written there as well or if the company name itself (or its expansion if it is an acronym) contains the word "Gesellschaft". "Viprinet" alone is a proper name ("Eigenname") and hence it must not be preceded by an article in formal written German.
But let's stop here and not start a grammar war ;)
Read through the story now -- just ... wow. The fucking nerve of some people.
Die verdienen einen Tritt ins Gesicht. Gibs ihnen, scamp!
Crazy story. I hope they got the message: gyp sceners and fail hard. @Viprinet: Good luck getting this done
and you still managed a successful upgrade of untergrund.net with all this trouble going on...! impressive! justice should triumph and viprinet step away from this story as a winner, good luck!

Also, alleged bad guys should not be listed in the "protagonists" column, I don't think.
This. A thousandfold this. These are antagonists -but the ironic use of quotation marks would be the least of a change required.
Protagonist means "main character". It doesn't necessarily mean "good guy"!
I wish the best of luck to all members of the Viprinet-staff, hoping this story will end soon.
Now I want one of those heavy duty routers. They look cool :)
gasman: You're supposed to identify with the protagonist, though.
I want one too. I wonder, if they contain some sort of easter egg.

you sure know how to make viral :)
amazing stuff.. in a weird way.. but sounds like justice might sort this out now and some ppl finally go to jail for this shit?
strange that no tv mags like monitor, frontal21 or others jumped on the train yet, especially as its really as interesting as a movie plot..

Gasman:
I'm probably really boring in considering Virpinet's boys and girls as the protagonists here, but that's the way my 20-sided dice fell. Sorry.

The principal opponent of the protagonist is a character known as the antagonist, who represents or creates obstacles that the protagonist must overcome.

Well, the site reports about a fraud *against* Viprinet - so wouldn't be the Viprinet guys be the *antagonists* here? ;)
no, as you are fighting of the malice, you antagonize and agonize the antagonists
as you fight off*
