Some source sharing between the various capture sites (capped, dtv, etc) would be cool. I.e. somebody uploads to capped, it gets uploaded to dtv too automatically, and same for old stuff.

Also it'd be cool if it could pull in a folder and process all the videos somehow (I'm thinking of asm, where there was a folder on scene.org with all the captures in decent quality).

Both of these would add a ton of disk space + processing issues of course ;)

hfr - Ah, then I already do that.. The medium quality encoder was updated this year to limit to 30 fps [and actually resize the video correctly, for those that may have noticed].

psonice - I already publish capped videos over here: ftp://micksam7.com/Capped/mp4/ - As for your idea, sadly a lot of dtv videos aren't really that high quality.. though I have been wondering about having the capped search box search dtv and youtube videos in addition to capped vids.

hm, shouldn't those mp4 files load in chrome's builtin viewer? I think it is just the mimetype set wrong :)

Hmm... seems there is problem with a video i uploaded to the service, a few minutes ago. Although all the demo info were supplied, they refuse to appear to the video page and the video appears as undefined. This problem seems to exist in other recently uploaded videos as well... what could be wrong?

Only if it's controllable per-profile. I would hate for that to be forced on everyone (it's not appropriate for all situations).

If that really is something someone wants (I don't), then it should be perfectly possible for them to create a GreaseMonkey-script that displays a video (if available for that prod) instead of the screenshot.

No, dumbshit, like "HTML5-is-the-default-capped-player-which-crashes-browsers-sometimes" not-appropriate. I would hate for pouet to crash my damn browser every time I looked at a prod. Plus, I like to browse pouet on my phone sometimes and would like the page to actually finish loading.

You could, I donno, have a little button that when clicked, runs some JS to fill in the page with the player and then start playing.

Yeah, I don't see why it has to load directly. It's not a technical issue.

this probably has been asked before but why does capped.tv lack playlist or "endless random" support? It would be awesome.

I take it you never used a Flash player on anything other than a Windows box.

I suppose somebody needs to reinvent vid.ly for the demoscene to please all sorts.

Fixed a bunch of crap this weekend.

- Video play counting should work again
- Supports pulling info from Pouet 2.0 [switched to syndicate feeds again]
- Slapped sublime into using a better display mode for flash

Also I have no idea who submitted the last two videos. I left some test variables around and everything was labeled with my account instead for a bit. If you uploaded them, poke me and I'll fix the tag.

Still need to get proper 720/1080/4k support in someday.

Calcifer was me :) I noticed that the site identified me as you but I didn't really care.

overdrive was me, i notices it as well but since the whole site seemed quite buggy i didnt care ;P
anyway, once the overdrive final is (hopefully) done, we will have to add another capture of it. hopefully a better quality one.
