I guess there are at least a dozen C-64 covers of Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" as well. The first one was heard was the Starion game music by Neil Brennan.

I wrote this music for s_tec a few years back. He wanted something like Handel's Water Music, but instead got something else...
Maybe this one could be interpreted as a remix of classical music: The Seeker - Still

World's War by NHP & BKH, from the end part of Ice. One of my all-time favourites.

L'anima campa is a (neo) classical piece by jco.

...and of course the credits part tune by Skaven at the end of Second Reality is still awesome. :)

As a demoscener doing full orchestral works, Purple Motion clearly needs a mention here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonne_Valtonen

This "classical music" thing is interesting. If an orchestra plays the Super Mario Bros theme with violins instead of square wave beepers, does it become classical music in some way? How about crappy orchestral samples in a crappy MOD? Is square wave beeper OK, as long as the melody was at least badly copied from Bach or Beethoven?

I have heard from classical musicians that something called the tradition of classical music is important. These modern weird ass chaotic nonsense "compositions" are regarded as classical music, because the composers and/or musicians hang around in the classical music scene. Or something. ;)
