Yeah. That's how I felt too the first time I met some sceners in real life and heard most of them have girlfriends or even wifes and kids and most of them look fine. But what I think is that demoscene has every kind of people, so it may have many people who moved on in their lives and go along well with girls, but also has people like us who are still not too successful with this and that's ok.

Recently I learned to accept myself the way I am, I am just a different kind, I am ok with this and if I didn't accept me I wouldn't have confidence. And they say you need confidence. Not just for girls in my opinion, but to feel good with yourself. But if one needs confidence he has to not let be influenced by negative comments about his kind of life. I got a lot of mental oppression through life and this didn't help me.

Maybe this works for some I thought, maybe some people where also like me at the beginning and they told them to get a life and that worked for them, they changed, maybe out of fear, out of pressure but they did changed. I got a lot of pressure from family, schoolmates and that destroyed me I think. Some thought I had to be pushed forward, some others were just abusive and enjoyed it. Maybe these things doesn't work the same way with other kinds of people. I am still, while being semi-successful with democoding, I am having some issues with life. But recently I relaxed and read some things about meditation (that's why I speak about the rotating zen even as a joke about my avatar) that matched well with things I had already thought in the past and all my history and it hit me. I am much happier now when I remember that these things are not important, not a good reason to feel sorrow about.
