Bush Game! (Requires Flash plug-in)

Is it possible to join National Riffle Association if you're not an American citizen?
Funny, I always thought that it would actually be very appropriate if someone gathered a large armored force and invaded the U.S. in order to liberate Americans from their Bush dictator...
moT: better yet if the excuse would be to "liberate American people from their oppressive and undemocratic political system which allows for too few choices" ;-)
Weird that none of the anti-USA and anti-Bush people never criticize ex-Soviet, Russia and Putin. Talk about having a large perspective of the things going on in the world.
But i guess some people are brainwashed by their national communist press :)

Talking about democracy, how about that undemocratic monster called EU, which decides 80% of our laws. We indeed have undemocracy which can beat your undemocracy. :)
I prefer by far when sceners do demos instead of talking about politic and geo-politic. And afaik, neither Bush nor Putin nor the EU killed the demoscene.
Zplex: i could curse at Russian government every single minute for this and that, but i have seen a number of very good decisions made by Putin against what one would normally expect. It seems he might save Russia. He is slowly undoing the bad things his predecessors have done. so considering it could be much worse, i'm satisfied. Bush, as opposed to that, can bring US in a big trouble - i just hope very strongly it doesn't happen. and he certainly more of a distructive sort, as you might have noticed. i cannot imagine a government much worse than that in US.
cruzer: name me any decision you're not satisfied with. and recall that EU doesn't decide on political questions, but rather on economic and environmental ones, and that's a matter of decision of experts and not housewives. and the matter of your trust to your government you chose.
and after all, poii is totally right. Politics kills the demoscene. :)

A decission I'm not satisfied with is that EU recently forced Denmark (and the rest of the EU countries I guess) to allow genetically modified corn, despite the fact that a great majority of the population, the parlament and the government was against.
i was actually sure it was not EU's fault, but that of US-centric WTO. sure, WTO doesn't make our laws but it can do too much pressure, they can even turn europe in the state Iraq was in just before invasion. ok, this actually sucks. there was a huge and very angry wave in US media that "these fucking EU retrogrades want to block our wondeful biotechnically improved corn!!", when the EU has put up the condition that GM corn has to be clearly marked as such and tracked throughout the whole chain to be able to protect customers. Since yesterday, WTO also proves the possibility to legally force EU into unconditionally allowing to import all GM foods. uh-oh. i'd say that better we import them labelled than we get ourself a problem and then have to import them unlabelled. ok, i shut my fuck up. :) in the meantime you can blame Italy, Britain, the Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden and Finland, and praise France, Portugal, Austria, Luxembourg, Greece and Denmark!
eye; i'll be ironic to a certain extend, still, the war in iraq is about the money! bush needs to build spaceships to fly back specimens of human to his planet! He uses the iraqi war to get technical information from them! they are very far in spacetravelling technology!!! he was planning on paying them good money for it, but saddam wanted to keep it to himself so bush decided to put in war effort. If you wonder why he didn't use technology from his homeplanet, well, some of the technics used by the Moronicus Retardicus does not propperly work on earth..
Yes, Bush is a shitehead! But i am not talking about iraq, i mean he is holding innocent people at the guantanamo bay!!
dwangie: Don't you also think he is holding innocent people in Iraq?
... Oh no! You must think that all Iraqi are terorrists!
OKKIE FOR THE PRESIDENT!!!

Well, I just played the game and as much as I agree that Bush isn't good for America and as much as I plan to not vote for him, that game still stank like crazy.
On the one hand there were never any extra-lives for your character and no way to get out of the way of the bosses (or I suck at platform shooters in general), and on the other they just let you continue even if you died and it was interrupted forcefully by that stupid politicking every three screens... I may be liberal (which would apparently be conservative in Europe) but that still left a horrible taste in my mouth and makes me not want to vote at all.
John Kerry as Voltron indeed... His campaign better not have ANYthing to do with this. Or I'll vote Nader.

I found the game informative and entertaining enough to keep me occupied for about an hour (until I finished it). It is a very smart idea as a political propaganda (if it is indeed endorsed by Kerry), and I'd give a thumb up for the effort.
Of course, in a political battle I'm more fond of the people that promote their ideals and their programs as to what they are planning to do and how they will go about doing it, rather than pointing out the rival's flaws.
Of course, Bush's flaws are obvious (nothing stays hidden under the sun, we say in Greece), but not everyone is in a place to understand that, especially in a country where political ignorance is overwhelming.
I'll let someone who is better informed than I am as to recite the percentage of the american population that actually voted in the previous US elections. However I recall that it was trully a very small amount (I don't think it exceeded 20% but I might be wrong).
As for my stagnant and overly biased opinion on this US vs EU thing, I am trully happy that I live in EU, the continent that gave birth to the demoscene, nurtured the demoscene and still preserves the demoscene into a highly active state (sorry Phoenix =).

Without the US we prolly wouldn't even have computers by now. Almost all great inventions comes from America. Except Tetris. :)
nah, we would have computers, made by the germans, from Krupps and they would weigh a ton and be available ONLY in german!
cruzer: If you like the states so much, why don't you do us a favor and go to stay there forever?
cruzer: you mean without the technological boosts due to the WWI and WWII
cruzer: Ignorance is bliss they say. Is it true? ;)
aMUSIC: Google? http://www.idea.int/vt/region_view.cfm?CountryCode=US
eye pac: yes ofcoz he is holding innocent ppl in iraq. imho rumsfeldt should resign coz of that prison scandal.
I just wanted to point out that he has been holding innocent ppl at the guantanamo bay for over 2 years now. Which make me think if bush really is much better than hitler.

Cruzer: UE isn't perfect but is (partly) democratic, so what about using your right to vote? This week you can vote for the elections for the European Parliament elections, the persons who vote the laws "that are forced on Denmark", oh no!
I think EU is a good forum for discussion big problems. Everything isnt perfect but will be in the future.
I am from sweden and will use my right to vote this weekend.
Hope sweden will join the euro-zone in the future.

Add to that that EU and the euro money are a good thing for the sceners travelling a lot. ^__^ No more checkpoint at the borders, no more currency fees, no more problem to get local bank notes.
true, but now i've to pay 2e50 for a beer instead of 2 guilders..... :/
