Also, the .deb file is not included at the moment, but if you know how to compile from source, the source is included, and you need to run update-initramfs -c -k 2.6.33-ck1-millennium, or something like that

Processing is probably your best bet if you actually want anyone else to be able to run it, ever.
openframeworks does linux too..
and any other graphics engine that's sdl based for that matter..

I pseudorandomly tried a demo called Even Closer, by The Bad Sectors. Was some interesting patterns in there. Particulary shows that if you get the framejitter down, or to a specific level, (natural/true) it just becomes a different experience.
It didn't play well with jackd though, unfortunately.
I will try some stuff, as I feel inclined.

Linux has been 'almost there' since it was first released to the public. In 2010, it's still 'almost there' but not quite ready for the mainstream. I am with pigpen, install Windows, problem solved.

Linux, with the tweaks in the article mentioned in the first post, is not "almost there", it is "way beyond". Atleast if you are comparing to windows.

Linux is so 'way beyond' that it completely ignores my Blu-Ray / HD-DVD drive's capabilities and cannot get Compiz to work alongside the desktop without frequent crashes.
I hope that Linux straightens itself out eventually but the fact of the matter is that it'll be in a perpetual state of 'almost there.'
It does a lot of stuff extremely well (apt-get functionality, Ubuntu's dependancy-resolution system), but it still has ways to go and frankly, will never get there. Too many standard functionalities are still ignored and driver issues will always remain. It'll be playing 'catch-up' to Windows and Mac OS X forever.
