You can't help but wonder what the hell you've been doing with your life when you get a "Breakthrough Performance" nomination at the age of 33 :-D

IMO Best graphics and best effects should be merged. They're too simillar.
They share nominees, yes, but the categories themselves are different. One is aimed towards graphical content (pictures, textures, 3D objects, design), and the other is aimed towards actual effects (code, ingenuity).

In the old days i guess technical achievement and best effect would have been similar, but I think these days it's good to have them separate, since best effect is actually an elegant mix of BOTH technical and visual skills

Plus there are technical achievements that can't qualify as effect, like a fully streaming demo on oldschool machine.

That does make sense.

Is the nomination email reply-to address supposed to bounce? :)
added on the 2010-03-18 10:27:45 by Psycho Psycho
Afaik. the nomination date has expired.
rasmus: Sure, and that 's why they have sent out emails to the nominees... with a bouncing reply-to address.

I can confirm psycho's trouble. How are we supposed to "reply" to their questions when the reply-to address bounces?

migrate to norway then if you want an award, havoc ;)
I'd say move to southern Europe if you want a nomination. Check Spain , Greece and France (aka PIIGS) this year ! :-)

Yeah, bouncing is a known issue. But don't worry, all bounced emails are read (i.e. filtered by the Nordic conspiracy :).
