And of course, what about sdl? Can I use Sdl on windows?

mrp-: if you provide sdl.dll with your production's package then there shouldn't be any problem with using it. Just remember that using SDL in windows will definitely not qualify for 64k/4k or any other intro due to the size of the .dll. :)

we will have a linux compo machine though.

that said, i have no idea if SDL comes out of the box with linux nowadays.

just install ubuntu, it should have it as it's so full with crap that it reminds me of windows :P

OK, one quick, but important question: what specs of 4k compomachine will be? Or at least when specs will be known? Let's say that info is very important for some GPU-heavy 4k. ;)

OK, you've got three PC machines there, but which one will be used for executable compos? :)

the priority is top down: we'll default to the first one, if the intro breaks on it, we'll switch to the second one, etc.

(we'll do this before the compo, obviously.)

...and if everything else fails, there comes Amiga to the rescue! ;)
