"Roy vs. The Demoscene"..
That would be the day. I spent a lot of time promoting the demo scene.. Oh, did you see my YouTube channel http://www.YouTube.com/SACReleases btw? ... And did you check my web site at http://www.roysac.com/ ? ... No further comments
Actually, I have one further comment, it's actually a quote, from you:
Quote:
Could I given credits? Sure I could have, but I didn't for several reasons. First, I didn't know who did what to be able to give accurate credits (I am still not sure about this part).
-> LOL PROMOTION
p.s. I admit that I also made a mistake, but I don't think that the actions taken because of it were justified.
You interpreted something wrong, I allowed this misinterpretation to happen. I could not respond to you within 24h, because it wasn't technical possible for me.. something I will explain via Skype, if you want to.
I add virtually always links and credits all over the stuff that I publish, usually even more than most other people (that's no excuse for missing it once though). That I am not talking BS, you can verify yourself.
The things that happened, happened. Let's focus on what we can do to clean up this mess.
Argh.. I see my error.. I got the quotes wrong by an offset of 1, because I interpreted wrongly that the post starts with the person who posted it. Shit. Recommendation to Pouet (when I get the time).. change that. It's visually impossible to determine which "added on .. by ..." belongs to what comment from the middle of a comments page (if you don't know if it's on top or bottom)... so yes, I am also guilty of assuming... I guess that makes me fit into this club as well :)

Holy shit I nominate this thread for Thread of the Month.
Yes, let's change the pouet.net BBS for you. You are definitely worth it!
keops
I found it by now. In this IMAGE of the NFO file. I didn't download the original demo yet, because I don't have a computer (except a 5+ years old one) with a functioning 3D GFX card for several months now (different story), so I cannot enjoy many of the more recent productions in real-time. This must sound weird, but this is how it is.

demoscene.tv and capped.tv can help with that :)
(for watching future productions in their semi-full glory)
There's also this site called youtube...

Oh, then you are happy that a user who is not familiar with the interface makes the same mistake that i did? You don't have to change it for me anymore, because I made the bad mistake already and do know enough to avoid the same mistake in the future.
My suggestion would be to change the color tone for the odd and even post numbers
e.g. for odd posts
#446688 and #6688aa (like it is now)
and
#668844 and #88aa66 (or something else that contrasts the other two)
Cheap alternative could also be to suppress the top border of the "added on ... by ..." row to provide a visual hint that this comment belongs to that user (the remaining dark border at the bottom would basically function as a comment separator)

Guess where I got the source video from?! ;)
Thanks anyhow for the tip.

you really have your head up your ass most of the time, eh?
don't you think this inane babble about background colours might come across as a silly attempt to distract from your pathetic ripoffs?
take it like a man, spare us the babble.

adding an additional TR after the TR with the date/time that is only a few pixels high and has a background color of #224488 for example (to match the current theme) would also do the trick.

Stop talking to me, please. Thanks.

Do you know how/where I could pass along this recommendation to take it out of this thread to avoid further "distracting" from the "core" issue? (Well, I quoted about a half a dozen people wrong, which I find rather distracting myself). Thanks.
