The Prodigy - Invaders Must Die [album]
category: general [glöplog]
Peter A+ for the kitten gag and millions more for the handle ;)
Maali: actually, every time you photoshop an image instead of working on that long lost demo, I create a new nordic conspiracy breakbeat track. :)
gloom: it's a WIP! ;)
sounds like 16 years ago....but worse. they should sell rotten tomatoes at tesco instead of music.
As for Omen:
Bought the album today, and have listened to it a couple of times. It's definitely better than Outnumbered, but still about 50/50 good/bad.
Omen has been getting serious airtime here though, for me it's the standout track from this album.
Oh, and people need to learn the difference between dnb and breakbeat-based music in general. This is not dnb.

But it actually is Noisia :)
You can tell that Noisia are badass, what with their angry faces and the brims of their caps pointing in all crazy directions. Society wants them to wear their caps with the brim in the front, but they play by their own rules.
Some of the tracks are awesome, some of them are very bad. I get an oldschool vibe from some of them that reminds me of Outer Space and their early stuff, then some tracks sound way too much like Pendulum.
Their comeback is welcome but not as much as Take That.

one thing i hope is that there will be some sort of remixability of the tracks, e.g. Warrior's Dance had some potential in the vocal+clarinet but the groove just wasnt there
That Vanilla Ice collection is p. awesome actually! Vanilla Ice could beat up Keith Flint with a hand tied behind his back! lol.
you are tone and groove def (as if bomb the bass wasn't an indicator)
@It’s a really exciting and optimistic way to end a record that largely earns its stripes by slightly sidestepping familiar footsteps, and leaves the listener certain that The Prodigy still matter. Put simply, nobody does The Prodigy like The Prodigy, and it’s a joy to have them back on all cylinders. Pendulum, don’t let the door smack you on the arse on your way out.
why is it that people expect bands to reinvent themself with each record. I think that is a terrible idea. if i want to listen to another style than the prodigys trademark style ill just put on another band and listen to their style. To blame a band with a good style that they are not "progressing"(meaningless term entirely) is to blame beer for tasting the same everytime you -still enjoy- one.
