Zest the last time i checked Switzerland isn't a part of the EU, and the last time i also checked, the euro isn't used outside the EU.
1h+ delay for every compo. any more bids? :D
uncle-x: the EU is uhm quite flexible, every country has imposed its own exceptions (see the UK... i sometimes wonder if it is really part of the EU :p), i'm almost sure that the EU would be happy to let Switzerland enter Euroland while not being part of the EU.

Actually it is, Montenegro and Kosovo are using the Euro as their official currency while not being part of EU. And of course there's the pseudo-states like Vatican, Monaco or Andorra.

CH doesn't want to be part of EU because they're full of pride being a snotty rebellious little country that doesn't want to be part of the EU, but they have bilateral agreements that apparently makes them feel as if they're part of the EU.
