Farewell Lemmus

category: general [glöplog]
Argh... Not again, not again...
I haven't really met him, even if I wandered around the Danish table for quite a time to spot mentor. Most likely I've seen him and this is what makes it even worse.

The idea of a person, that you have seen alive, putting it to an end... Just awfully sad.
My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace.

What a shame. Rune really was gifted in many ways, and his abilities and flair for math in particular was admirable, which he proved with his work on Atrium. Too bad we are never gonna see more of his skills unfolded in the demoscene.

My condolences to Rune family and friends.

Can't believe this. Less than a month ago we emailed about Atrium for the upcoming Siggraph show, where he was helping me as fast as he possibly could.

Is it known what made him take that last step? It doesn't fit with all of your descriptions that he was such a passionate, postive guy.

Rune, your production will be played in honour at the show, I can promise you that. I'm sure you would have loved seeing Atrium played in a theatre in front of 7100 people.

The scene has indeed lost an inspiring person and a really friendly person. First time I meet Lemmus was at SceneMeeting in mid 90s; him and blueberry was the only two awake rocking around on the dance floor while they watched the demo show.

Let us hope he is the place he wants to be now….

I do know the prods. he worked on. Sad news..

Damn, Atrium was setting new standarts.. Pitty Lemmus wont ever again model and direct another great (4k) intro :(

I remember the first party where I met Blueberry and Lemmus, Lemmus running around with a big smile and his hair painted completely green like a lemming :) In Efreet he made the coolest Amiga intro's together with Blueberry. He was such a natural part of going to parties and having fun, that it feels weird he's not going to be around anymore.

His work will always stay on my HD :)

The scene is dead.

When I first saw the topic I hoped it was a "I quit the scene" type of message. :(

When I met you in Trondheim you seemed like a cheerful, friendly and energetic type. You always made those happy intro tunes. Who could imagine you had such dark thoughts on your mind.

Special thanks for Peanut from me. I remember jumping up and down to it at tp96 where it redefined 4k. That one changed everything!
