What's the story behind the Plastic PS3 demo?

Who is the moron that thought making a video about destroying a cute dog would be a good idea? Are you freakin' kiding me? I realize it's computer generated and all, but come on. If you are going to go for such realism, at least pay attention to the emotional impact your work will have on your audience. A mean looking snarling dog would have been easier to put up with seeing get turned to stone. Instead they pick one of those dogs with long floppy ears and short stubby legs that are just so darn cute. Hell why not just turn bunnies and babies into stone and smash them to bits instead?

Idiots.

1. It's Yoda, not Scamp,

2. Who knows, maybe he talked to one of these guys:

Currently XNA is a nice start, but with all it's bugs and crappy audio playback, it's not the thing I want to use for each and every demo. The XBOX 360 distribution model (having to pay $100/year to be able to even WATCH demos or play crappy DIY-games) is retarded, and for PC's there are better and faster ways to do the job.

*g*

isn't XNA just fine ? (apart from the minor drawback that they only support c# and not managed c++) ?
"Minor drawback"?

gloom: for those starting over, writing in c# isn't such a pain is it ?
I'm not really in position to yap on about this, considering my only experience with XNA was making an Xbox360 demo -- and I didn't even code that, I just spent a huge amount of time with people who did :)

Whoever made that comment is a complete retard. And fat.

BTW they did make a free runtime for XNA stuff, just so you know :)

Does that mean that you can run the demos on an xbox360 without paying for it?

bonzaj: Will it have trophy support? :)

Who said anything about xbox 360.

And the idea is not that you should pay 100€/year just to run stuff on your xbox, you're supposed to pay 100€/year to run your own code and develop using the xbox 360, that's why it's called Creators Club. And most of the time you'll get it free anyway. They're working on a free distribution channel but it's currently on beta stage and open only for creators club members.
