that's what religion will do to you.
also has anyone seen my cat? i thought this might be the place to look.
why take position in a struggle between religious fundamentalism and state capitalism?
as for tibetan people (not the religious "leaders") fighting against chinese colonialism, i don't see anything wrong with that.

Taking positions is difficult anyhow because it's such a complex conflict. Technically speaking you can't even use words like occupation and colonialism because Tibet was never recognized as an independent country, it's a fight for independence (or more autonomy, the Dalai Lama himself has said he could live with a status like Hong Kong currently has).
Also, the real cause for these riots seem to be the rising prices of food and consumer goods in the area, not the Chinese "colonialism". The attacks against Han Chinese are IMHO not justifiable, and neither is the way the Chinese government responds to these riots.

whats the difference between how the chinese government responds to the riots and how other goverments do? Italy, run them over and shoot them in the head, massive police-violence, destroying media-centers etc etc. Sweden, enormous massarrests, firing 17 shots into a crowd almost killing 2 people and massive police-violence. Denmark, Berlin etc. I dont see any difference.
