Janne wakes up every day. After getting up he goes to the toilet and pisses. Something like that.

That would be worth more than "I'll be a good stereotype of Finnish expressive skills and shut up now. Thanks for causing such a stink, Internet - the leverage is so appreciated that I'll just say nothing about this."

It's not that I wouldn't mind he covers my bandwidth fees once the magic settlement landed on his bank account (some sites thought it was a good idea to hotlink to limpninja.com, bless their retarded souls), but some other people here (and elsewhere) kicked quite some time / effort / dead whales around to stir shit up some months ago. That was a community effort gone mad, and it was actually fun to see develop.

However, when the ball landed in Janne's park again... the thing just deflated and went silent. Hell, there were people ready to take this fight to a guerrilla level if the fight really would get sore. But as things developed to date, I get the sinking sensation it's a kthxbye ending we'll never hear the end of.

I really want to hear where the ball is right now...

The fat lady is about to sing, but I will only give information which is definite. Believe me, I want this thing to be over more than anybody else.

January-March was an exciting period. The amount of support for my case was unexpexted and highly appreciated.

Negotiations started awhile ago. Me babbling about the case in the internet would not help my case in any way at the moment... maybe the exact opposite.

Btw. what kind of ending are you hoping for? Remember, my case is not in any court. If there will be an agreement, it will all happen very quietly. I will report the outcome though.

hhmm what kind of agreement? to be honest, I'm sure the people invloved were contacted... so, me i'd take it to court..

i'm sure a certain person has been told the minimum to get paid, but I would now DOUBLE that amount, * 2.5 for usage and also a credit for writing it. since licensing / prs money = a lot

me i'd have gone to court, by now.. IF i was in such a position, regardless of flying to the states AND claim costs/lost of earnings. then again i'm mcps registered, so its different in that respect.

producer fee , per remix, say 1 or 2 days studio time + giving up royality rights.. ur looking £20k - 50k PER song, IF the person is well known and in demand they can demand silly money . my friends charge between £10k-15k for remix fee, depending on the track.

A nice settlement that you and GRG are happy with with the clause that you can at least talk about it. Too many of these cases of petty theft are settled with a "you'll never open your mouth about this ever again. Good. Here's a nickel, kid!".

It would be a bonus if you got Timbaland in a chickensuit for the occasion, but that's probably not going to work :)

okkie: i know he won't although, he did get an email from me about a certain other song another artist had to clear, that belonged to a friend.. again the sums involved weren't chicken feed and that can be *2 + another fee for the ringtone =)

I can't name the song publically as part of that agreement was for his silence.
