I've re-read my post and thread... I it looks as if I where the most lamer of the lamers. And yes, I do I am XDDD. Well, anyway, I understand that not everybody could buy the expensive software as autocad or 3dsMax (I got it original since my brother is architect, and he MUST bought it), but anyway, there are shareware and freeware good programs enough. TheGimp is not Photoshop (and it won't be ever), for example, but it works well anyway. And about coding, djgpp (or gnu c or whatever) and devC works well. Frontpage express sucks, but it is enough while you learn html and forgot using web editing tools. PHP/mysql looks (imho), for simple web pages powerful enough to forget asp. SmartFTP is free for non-commercial use, and works at least as fine as cuteFTP. And there are a lot of examples. I don't need warez... well, the unique think is that my Flash demo have expired... argh! I'm thinking in buy it... but I really don't need it.

Buying, using free software, or using warez is the result of a personal choice but also the consequence of each person's economic situation.
We could all play the game of perfection and innoncence, and never do anything wrong or illegal. Reality is that we are not perfect, so we have to deal with this: I will not reproach to a student without money to use a cracked version of some software.
What I do not tolerate is people that are _proud_ to use only warez software, never buy any software, any movie, any cd, never go to the cinema... it's parasitism.
I will not say I'm perfect, far from it, there are a lot of sofware I cannot simply afford (Visual Studio and MSDN for instance) and that I refuse to live without (no, I will not use a sucky freeware code editor and gcc). On the other side I registered as much programs I'm using as I can: PowerArchiver, PaintShopPro, WebDrive, TreeSizePro, WindowTabs, Kyodai Mahjong, ... I'm also buying some DVD's and music albums, and go to the cinema from time to time.
I will not say that I _never_ listen to illegal MP3, or that I _never_ watch a divx movie, but I try to stay on a middle line.
Of course I can do it because I can financially afford it.

When I buy/download warez, I don't justify myself. It's illegal but it's a necessity for many people who can afford buying some expensive packages or a lot of games for their collection. But I don't say that I am cool and stuff. There are other people who think it's a must and you are even lame if you buy an original game. I was in a store and asked the owner, the price of SeriousSam (I had finished the pirated version of it, but because I thought it was a good job with a great engine from some cool Croatian guys, I thought it would be a great idea to buy the original just because they deserve to get money from me!), he told me "Are you a fool? Why aren't you buying a warez copy of it???". I was considered as a fool from the shop owner, because I wanted to buy an original game! That's lame! But some of your software beeing warez because of necessity or for your collection, is not so lame..
Btw,. I have Djgpp, Quickbasic and Nasm as freeware. I only use VC++ from a pirated copy (If I only knew another good compiler to do programms on windows API)I also have a lot of Abandonwarez in my collections. And demos are always freeware :)

If you are using progs like 3dsmax or VC++ only for
your personal use and don't earn money for the things you've produced with these progs, their use
in this case shouldn't be illegal. That's my opinion!

Ok man,you'll have to know that this crack-warez scene was created to make free all apps and games so every little kid could have these...(you surely doesn't know what means to pass in front of a shop without having the possibility to buy anything...),and so we did,yes man i'm proud when remembering myself and the swappers of my crew going to many shops in my town asking the kids if they wanted each games and apps for free...and still swappping everything we cracked to the whole world!
A mega BIG LOVE to the whole WAREZ scene and to the REAL DEMO scene who know his ROOTS and a mega BIG FUCK to the MIDDLE-CLASS people that have everyday the possibility to express themselve,but use that to judge everybody without knowing NOTHING!
