adok: read his sentence again... also.. LOCO ROCO SI TEH FOOKIN' ROX!
Which sentence? "I only use PSP for homebrew stuff" - that one doesn't really answer my question. Did he say anything else related to PSP...?

Is it really possible to run NES games on PSP that easily?
emulators.
I thought so. But native NES code cannot be run by the PSP, can it?
have a guess
According to Wikipedia, the main CPU of the NES was a 2A03, which is a variant of the 6502. The 6502 was manufactured by MOS Technology, Inc. (aka Commodore Semiconductor Group). The Wikipedia page about that company lists several old processors manufactured by it (including the famous SID), but no modern processors. I guess that if the CPU of the PSP (MIPS 32R2) or its GPU had been manufactured by the same company, it would have been mentioned there. (Probably the company is defunct by now - I have no idea.) If the processors aren't manufactured by the same company, compatibility is less likely, but not ruled out. So, it's not possible for me to make a definite statement yet.
So at least for SNES and Genesis, an emulator is needed.
The CPU of the SNES was a 16-bit 65c816 Ricoh 5A22 3.58 MHz (Wikipedia). I remember reading that this CPU was compatible to the NES; or if it wasn't compatible, then the GPU might have been, since I remember very well that I read in a video gaming magazine that the SNES was constructured in such a way that it would be possible to run NES games on it without emulation.
So, if the SNES has to be emulated on a PSP in order to run SNES games, then NES games can only be run on the PSP using an emulator as well. Solved!

Me too.

haha
I like the phrase 'Prozeduale Texturgeneration'.
"Exception auf Point Three" is my new irc quit message. :)
Time: this morning.
While I was thinking about "Exeption auf Point Three" winamp was so nice to play the soundtrack of Zeitmaschine:
"Gerade in diesem Punkt irrt die ganze Welt."
It cries for a philosophical discussion.

Maybe god used INT 3 to debug the universe? An when the son thread was nailed to the cross exception handling was lost and the whole creation was doomed to err forever.
