bah! Honestly, this assumes that all sceners has an education in English which isnt really the case. Some sceners comes from countries where teaching english isn't exactly their first priority. Assuming perfect english knowledge from people that comes from non-english speaking countries also assumes that they should actually go to school to get an education. Some people might have other interests than school, like coding or making music, and therefore only acquire good, but not perfect english skills. It also assumes that everyone here is old enought to have got a proper english education which isn't correct eiher. We come from all over the world and we share one common interest, an interest in demos, not english grammar.
or with other words.. This isn't really a problem. Me not coding operators for thread-starters on the other hand is a bigger problem. ;-)
and.. my english sucks!

grammars educations for an peoples of pouet?
satan :D
Ekoli, sure... but for pouet regulars, regardless of formal english education, it shouldn't be impossible to pick up correct ways of expressing standard demoscene judgements by observing how other people phrase their comments... that requires no more than a slightly-below-average IQ.
And yup, we should really get together to do some demo coding ;)

ekoli: Stop de-pouëtizing this thread!
THIS IS MY POST IN THIS THREAD.
me has laerned english in Kenja and then my speek growed up to perfectely. specsilly mine pro-non-siation had been coming to the perfectizied level.
I'm sure Kenjan ppl speaks better than me :) Who cares about perfect English? I make a few grammer mistakes in each sentence (in?) and I don't care. 'Coz you understand me and English is not my native language. If you really want to test your language learning skills, try to learn Turkish :) I've a Belgian guy in my company for 2 years. He's living here and even getting married with a Turkish girl now. He still can't speak or understand Turkish. But he can speak English, French and Flemish. Out of memory? I don't think so :) English my ass :p

MECHANIC: THEY SET UP US THE BOMB
I use the word 'musics' prominently on the front page of zxdemo.org, despite me being a native English speaker and knowing that it isn't a real word. And why not? It expresses what I want to say better than any "correct" construction. I can't call them 'songs' because they don't have any vocals; a 'tune' is what a Patagonian goat herder would play on pan-pipes, not a composition made on a synth; and 'track' can mean absolutely anything including 'one 160th of a DSDD floppy' and 'one quarter of a four-channel MOD'.
Sure, the dictionary would say I'm wrong, but anyone instantly knows what I mean, and the dictionary doesn't have 'cracktro' in it either, so what do they know. I'm all for letting languages evolve, just so long as it makes them more useful rather than more confusing (i.e. anyone attempting to introduce the word 'virii' or 'txt' into the English language should quite rightly be punched in the teeth all the same).

Anyways, many demo has nice musics.
someone who thinks purpose is written purpouse, would is written wold, and writes english in an otherwise correctly capitalized post with a lower case e shouldn't be bitching
that said, could all Poles please stop abbreviating "music" to "msx"? an msx being a computer and stuff.. it's like abbreviating "graphics" to "oric".
skrebbel: What a wonderful idea!
skrebbel: Are you sure they're not talking about the computer?
A music surely is incorrect expression, but how about scener called aMUSIC?
shadez, that's so unique and hilarious! you're my hero! ahahaha
