THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "A MUSIC" !!!

category: general [glöplog]
..and "prods" is the plural of "prod", not singular. Stop saying "Nice prods!" in your comments!!

..and you can't say "codes" about a collection of source code. Say "routines", "effects", "libraries" or whatever, but not "codes"!!

*calming down*

I'm sorry, but I can only take so much bad grammar over five years.

I plan to release all my codes for each and every one of my prods soon. Just so you know.

Preacher, I suspect you were trying to get the "prods" part of your sentence wrong on purpouse, but it's actually correct ;)

I know and I am ashamed of it. I'm too tired to even type wrong :D

What do you expect from a bunch of people who learned their English from scrolltexts?

A music? What's the correct form? A song?
:|
In portuguese "uma musica" is correct! And in French "une musique" is also correct (I think). Nature knows that portuguese is a far better language than english! :D

In the pouet.net dialect of english, "a tune" wold be the construct of choice. "A track" is also acceptable. "A song" isn't outright wrong, but most people would probably hesitate to use it when referring to an piece of music without vocals.

baah. "a piece of music", of course. Shoot me.

for that matter, I don't think "graphicians" is a word. "Graphics Artists"... or "Artists" or "Artisans" or "Dirty Hippies"...

And I think I usually say "nice tune" or "excellent music". Unless I don't care enough to bother with accurate grammar.

Anyway, if we're talking about English, you gotta specify American English, British English, Scottish English, Irish (Hibernian) English, Australian English, Canadian English, Engrish, the Queen's English, the President's Engrish, or Teen English

In German, there also exists a plural form of the word "Information" - "Informationen". Therefore many Germans make the mistake that they write "informations" instead of "information".

Regarding "data", in German only the plural form is widely used - "Daten". The singular would be "Datum", but hardly anybody is using it in this context since "Datum" more commonly has the meaning "date".
