axel: better to wait for 1/3/37, which is on a weekend. And the USAian scene (which will be huge by then. oh yes it will) can even have their 1/3/37 party on the 3rd of January, which is also a weekend.

French civil service is dead, I was one of the last to do that (10 months), but it was ok because I was army musician (horn player).

i was only 9 and 1/2 months :P

Sweden has that conscription stuff too but half the people don't do it. Me neither 'cause I got a note from the doctor when I was up. Not much of a defence left, might have something to do with that noone wanted to play war with us for 200 years and that Soviet Russia never invaded like they were supposed to.
