no, but you can install a qr reader app on your iphone and take a photo of your screen, worked for me :)

In general theres no rule of how long a bar code can be. It depends on the system being used. Most encoding schemes are based on a carriage return. And yes - you can learn some schemes without reading the label. Say if you debug a etiquette writer ;)
