First demo you ever saw/remember
category: offtopic [glöplog]
Not sure if there is already a thread for this soooo....
I remember a demo with a teddybear dancing with stars in the background, it was not 3D rendered, also I think it was not in English (but could be wrong), This was way back in about 1991, It ran on a A500.
Does anybody know the name of this prod, or had is dissappered to Scener Heven?

Final Audition by Plastic, shown by ps and jeenio at IST in March 2006. (make fun all you want, it got me into the demoscene even if a bit late)
Mind's evolution by Popsy Team, I saw it thanks to a french magazine "PC Team".
I don't know is it's exactly the first demo I saw, but it's the first one I remember as a "demo from the demoscene".

Demo? Naaaaah. The first thing I remember is this cracktro by good old Dynamic Duo on the C=64: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=28070
eagle soft inc. cracktro.
Iraq by Animators is probably the first demo I saw. We we're playing games on an Amiga (500?) at my friends place and watched an "animation" as a creative pause. It was Iraq and I'm sure about that, but I'm not sure was it the first or only "animation" we watched. Nevertheless it's the one I remember from the tank scene. The year was most likely 1993 or 1994.
First cractros I remember like it was yesterday are this and this.
One of the first demos I saw as a demo and the one I liked most was Orange's Compost

First I've seen lots of cracktros on Amiga from 1988 on. The first demo I can remember was The Drunk Desert Demo from Paradox because it was on a compilation disk containing also a version of X-Copy. Unfortunately I didn't recognize it as a "demo" at that time and had no idea about the demoscene at all.
So the first real demo what I've seen was Boundless Void from Nemol, directly followed by the famous Hardwired. Both demos have been featured in the "demo corner" of the famous German Amiga magazine Amiga Joker. From that day I was totally addicted to demos and started to order new disks with demo stuff from my local PD dealer every month.

Ballmania from Sorcerers. First demo tune I loved also (even though the sound player was playing it all wrong and funny in most frequencies)
Budbrain is the first one I really remember, probably because there's so much memorable stuff in it. I watched a ton of stuff back then though that came on PD disks on in the post from people.. the music disks with tons of cool samples stick in my mind, like the ones where the tune would play in 3 channels and you could press keys to play stuff in the fourth. Music disks were less serious but more fun back then :)
Shit, I need to get my a500 out and reminisce a bit =)

Lemmings cracktro, by The Humble Guys.
I think it was the cracktro for the game "Oswald" and one of Flash Productions' or Kefrens' megamixes ... Back in '89 or so, on a classmates Amiga ... It took about two more years till I got (read: persuaded my parents into buying) one myself and another two till I joined the scene... Geez, that's 20 years ago now...
well, probably not the very first, but i remember this one: http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=4066
I saw 2 demos in a computer shop in 1987. A Spectrum 512 slideshow on an Atari ST with a raytracer pic (checkerboard and transparent spheres)
An Amiga demo with a 3D rotating screen with an animated cat.
Later, a demo awake me, the first one I could identify a demo group was in this Replicants intro

Second reality around 1994 when I was about 5-6 years old maybe.
I remember clearly the passage with the water and the leaves on the tree, the one with the faces rotozoom and the last 3d scene with the spaceship.

Heaven 7
1001 crew pre-ESCOS stuff and TMC music rips ... sheesh, I feel jurassic
The first demo I remember is one of those multicolor picture + scroller demos on the C64. The image was of a woman sun tanning on a beach, so it might not have been ripped from a game :)
Lots of cracktros before that, but I don't know which one was first.

The first one I saw was some kind of cracktro on C64 when I was about 5yo :) I didn't know much about PC demoscene for a long period. I saw Second Reality in the late 90s, but that's all. Later came Ein.Schlag by Farbrausch, together with all the fr-64k stuff.
Plenty of cracktros on C64 during the 80s that I don't remember. First demos on PC "Atom" (forever.. and ever...) and cronologia (on a 286).
An Atari "demo" which featured a train moving on top, and some vectorballs with a checkerboard, also some demon sprite bobs... can't really say the name or anything else. Should have been around 1989 or 1990
