Enjoyed it apart from the somewhat painful snare sample. HBD Dunkku :)

Cyg: not really, the routines are quite different, with different limitations

The main difference being that this one is impressive. :)

What Slummy said :)

Awesome roto-zoomer.. love how the HAM fringing creates almost an extra layer of anti-aliasing... tell me... how do you write to this HAM screen with only 4 bitplane DMA enabled? I have been racking my brains, but can't suss it :D
rulez added on the 2016-03-18 19:09:32 by DanLemon DanLemon
DanLemon: you enable 7 bitplanes in HAM mode, which (on OCS) only enables 4 bitplanes, and the controlbits are placed in BPL5DAT and BPL6DAT
added on the 2016-03-18 20:18:49 by britelite britelite
britelite: I saw that :) and I see you have a particular pattern of words in BPL5DAT and BPL6DATA, but can't work out how you are picking the right palette value for first pixel, and modiying to get the correct final colour after the fringing.... I am guessing the source texture has 3 "pixels" per pixel, and modifiying green, then blue on the next pixel.. so that you always have at least 2 pixels of final colour. something like this, with a well defined 16 colour base palette ?

Anyway,it looks superb!! :) well done!

AGA not allowed! :)

DanLemon: it's actually four pixels per texel, and in RGBB format, so that the color is fully set on both B pixels
added on the 2016-03-18 21:32:49 by britelite britelite
Ah, yes, that's kind of what I meant.. that the full colour is on the last 2pixels of the 4 pixel span :) I am going to have a look into this, it looks like a funky mode for all sorts of tricks :D

Well there is just one rotzoomer efecket. But it looks good and its on Amiga :)

Impressive roto-zoomer indeed! Very nice little intro!

I'm a sucker for this kind of minimalistic tunes, could hear it on repeat endlessly despite its shortness! And the rotozoomer of course is impressive, too. :)

The zoomer is ok but the design could be better

Very nice rotozoomer, big, fast and subpixel accurate!

Contains beer and a rotozoomer, nothing not to like :D

Nice feeling.

I am lost in translation and still do not grasp how it is done in detail.
Please, could you Britelite or someone else be so kind and explain that a
bit further - maybe with an example? And what are the pros and cons
in comparison with a conventional rotozoomer? Thanks in advance.

Now, I've got it. Took a while till the penny dropped; I can tell you,
inhaling too much TEMED, ß-mercaptoethanol, and formaldehyde is not
so beneficial for your brain and body!

Neat screenmode! If you want to get your monocle out and look at some ham fringes then press left mouse button to freeze the effect.
