think the executables of the partyversion could be b0rked. we need to prep a final release package sometime soon.
in the meantime there is this video of the thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6Do-OIQxTg
which actually has the sound sync off, so that'll get fixed soon aswell. eventually. i hope.

ps: Does not compute on MacOS X Intel (Snow Leopard). :(

Can't get it to run on my Mac. Based on the video, it felt like a throwtogether of random Processing-clips on YouTube. The music was rubbish.

decipher: yeh, snow leopard has some java dependency fuckups which mess with processing and cg toolkit. sorry about that, not much we can do right now. maybe downgrading java will help, claims to do so on some sites on the internet, but i wouldnt recomend it, have no clue how sensitive snow leopard is to these things.

gloom: i think the mac export on this zip is fucked up, we'll repackage it sometime soon, or wait till we figure out the fullscreen viewport fuckery issues. dunno for sure yet.

Extremely unpolished, so this is a motivational thumb. I like the music and the last part.

i'll give it another chance when I see it run (snow leopard here) but in the video it felt extremely disconnected.

Realtime version of this one?

Doesn't run on Leopard either and based on the video, i am very sorry to say that i find it rather ugly ... Totally not my style.

exe is indeed broken. the video shows some beautiful and stylish scenes, but I would liked it more if the scenes would fit better together. waiting for the final exe version.

Random looking. And doesn't work here too (intel, 10.5). Otherwise, not bad.

ps: GLUT is standard on Macs, why not make use of standard resources? It is cross-platform too.

this was quite nice, but too short!

Seems unfinished... like a mixture of short unconnected scenes.

proper repackaged binaries with fullscreen bugfix and added info on the infofile for snow leopard users. hope everything will work properly now.

Quite cool. A bit short, but probably it would get boring if it was any longer. The contrast between the clean 3D and the hand-drawn credits was really nice, would like to see more of that kind of thing.

the blue ribbon part (0:14 - 0:26) saves it from thumb down

i dislike the music
oh and it's funny nobody mentioned it's not even a scene track yet
lost gorbachevs are a local grindcore jazz band of some friends of mine, saw them live once, and they kicked major ass with a dozen tracks of couple seconds long and others going up to 2 minutes. it was awesome. the fusion between genres really works great imho. we asked them permission to use this track, they're no computer geeks but they were quite open to letting us do whatever we wanted with their music and loved the final result when we showed the video to them.

the question is, what does it matter if its a scene track or not? we dont give a fuck. why the hell do you? actually, don't answer that, i don't even want to know. we just wanna do cool visuals for cool music. if you get it or like it or not that's your problem. tired to death of all the demoscene mind a box bullshit.

indeed i should have written

1) i personally dislike the music

2) i'm really in favor of being inspired by some video or some song, and building from there

but, i'm surprised some people find it's not ok to go"damn i really love this fear factory song and i'm going to put visuals on it"

while apparently it's widely accepted to go "damn i really love my ex girlfriend's cousin's brother in law's band's last song and i'm going to put visuals on it"
Wow, that was just plain awesome. Great visuals mixed with even better soundtrack. Maybe my personal favourite from the compo :) only if it was longer...

A kind of music we don't usually expect with such visuals. That's a good surprise. The visual is nice. I liked the music. So...

Beautiful visuals and fresh music, but this one is seriously lacking flow and coherent design. So it's a piggy.

really like the visuals, the music is fresh.
unfortunately does not run on my machine (at least it only produces the first frame, then nothing happens except the music plays)

A real case of the soundtrack being in the driver's seat. At first I thought I was watching a wild animation just because of the direction, it's so unlike typical demos. The choice of jazz music makes it stand out even more. I'd like to see more of this kind of 'daring' production in the demoscene.
