This is an incredible development over "Luna", I'm truly in awe a bit. Everything comes together beautifully on all levels at once, and nothing feels off or out of place. I adore the overall aesthetic, reminiscent of 1980s 4AD album cover masterpieces, with the milky black background and a strong serif font, all imbued in magic that makes the whole impeccably organic, almost alive. This all complements the choice of poetry perfectly of course, which I'm going to be reflecting on many many times to come. The audio is of course equally well married together with the rest; it's just overall a delight to hear music produced like this in a demo still in 2022.

Hungry for more (whenever you're up to it).

as cool as the track is, the mixdown is distracting for, the volume levels go kinda all over the place. i suspect because of clipping the limiter.

and that was what truly saved the compo. neat!

Looks and feels like an intro rather than a flushed out demo. Visuals of mixed quality, ranging from pretty to not so pretty. But way better than previous stuff.

Splittered feelings, sometimes it’s really nice, sometimes it’s a bit stateless and flat. Quite dull from and too then it transforms back into something nice. For me personally the sound (music?) totally kills this one, so it has to be a piggie.

What I like most about this demo is that it kinda doesn't look like one.

So nitpicks first: A couple of parts fell a bit flat compared to the rest (mostly because they "give away their hand" and look a bit too standard particle-y) and I'm not 100% on board with all harmonic choices the soundtrack makes.

But the end result, with all the choices concerning color, typography, the gratuitous use of (feedback)blur and everything else, consciously avoids the usual demoscene aesthetic and IMO goes _way_ above and beyond. If I would just see it, I would think "music video on Vimeo" first, not demo, and that's an unbelievably good thing in a scene that seems to a good part preoccupied with rehashing tropes. And there were a lot of times when I peeked at Darya's screen in the last weeks where I thought "I would have done that differently" but turns out - most of those times I was wrong. All of it just fits perfectly.

Uncompromising in the best way. It's less like a run of the mill demoscene production, and more like picking up some cool looking microscopic artbook from a coffee table at some fancy place, only to find out that the art is *alive*.

It's a rare demo that I actually enjoy watching on youtube, just so I can freeze frame and look at the composition of the stills.

The solid choice of lyrics and dynamic typography are the cherry on top.

Sure, it's not for everybody, but I think that's a good thing. It definitely is for -me-.

I agree with what kb said about some scenes looking just a tad too particle-y but this is some very high level critique on an overall amazingly well rounded prod that imho should've won the compo.

Took me a while to get to this; from the screenshots and some earlier comments it seemed like something I needed to give proper attention to, which is (for me) rather fickle these days.

Anyways, really glad I waited for the right moment. What a wonderful prod. Very uniquely demoscene but would also feel natural in a motion graphics setting. It all just works and falls into place. Everything has a "whole is far greater than the sum of its (simple) parts" which (as I've commented on a few prods before) is the one elusive quality that delights me the most and elevates a demo from "just" a demo into something more. In fact, with the exception of only a handful of shots where the immersion is very slightly broken I forget I'm watching a demo entirely, and I'm just living in that space. Absolutely sublime.

This is a demo that achieves exactly what it sets out to do with zero dead weight. Thank you for making this!
